Life in Wuhan: Day 23: A Haircut Day
http://haw-is-wuhan.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-23-haircut-day.html
Friday, October 8, 2010. Day 23: A Haircut Day. Today, finally found the time to go and get a haircut. Liangxun and I went to 建设商场, the shopping center that housed the supermarket and on the students' recommendations, went to a salon called 发源地. Apparently this is a very well-known franchise that has outlets nationwide, so we felt quite at ease because we are assured that this place has some standard at the very least. Not much difference right? BUT IT WAS CLOSED! We also couldn't this small bakery that ...

http://haw-is-wuhan.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-34-this-is-home-truly.html
Friday, October 22, 2010. Day 34: This is home, Truly. So I successfully managed to stay awake all night long, after packing and repacking my luggage, and then going up the Jiali and Diyanh's room only to see Eliza and Sheila sleeping, then cooking concentrated Milo and Curry-flavoured Instant Noodles. And here is what happened for the rest of the day. Cleaned up the room and took some last pictures as keepsakes. My bed for the past 5 weeks, all cleaned up, almost. The door to my room. The first 1 and a ...

Life in Wuhan: Day 24: Barbecue Today
http://haw-is-wuhan.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-24-barbecue-today.html
Monday, October 11, 2010. Day 24: Barbecue Today. Today our fantastic hosts, the local students organized a barbecue for us! Kudos to them for choosing a considerably nearby and scenic location to hold the barbecue. Of course, this being China, nearby means an hours walk, but I'm not complaining. At first glance, their barbecue is really different, but when it comes to the real thing, their is no real difference. Have a look:. Overall, the food today was excellent, in fact, I think my barbecues in Singap...

Nostalgical memories in Wuhan. Sunday, October 3, 2010. Day 20 - Themepark! Morning people of lala-land! Today marks the start of a new adventure! I was looking forward to this day for so long. We met downstairs at 9am this morning and headed to the back street for breakfast. I was famished and I bought like Large Soya Bean Milk, Two 包, one rice stick with fillings inside. What a big appetite I had! Their mailbox is different from ours in Singapore. Theirs are like the ones in London but green, not red.

Discovering a student life in Wuhan, China. Thursday, October 7, 2010 @ Day 24: Bonding Session! Bonding time with the WUST students. Let the photos tell the story! Walking to the BBQ pit. BBQ Pit. It's quite different from ours isn't it? Our usually have this wire mesh, but for them, it's just putting it over the 2 sides. Okay, this is my first time BBQ-ing golden mushrooms. Initially, I thought it would be really wierd, but it turn out to be fine! Quite tasty too actually. Haha. It was really fun!
