We made a ottoman for our front entry/piano room for $27.00 total cost using a sturdy thrown away pallet, recycled furniture legs, some old couch cushions and a sleeping pad! We began by drilling lead holes into the pallet and screwing in the legs. I still can't believe I found them for a buck! Screw in or attach the legs to the bottom of the pallet. The on...

This week our local produce stand offered a case of raspberries for a steal! The problem is there are so many yummy things to make with fresh perfect berries I couldn't decide between a pie or bread pudding.well my hubby made the decision for me, and I made a tray of my favorite raspberry bread pudding complete with a caramel vanilla sauce over the top. If you can't find fresh berries, frozen will do as well. 1 1/2 loaves aged, white bread. 1 quart heavy cream. 5 cups frozen raspberries. 1 1/3 cup butter.

Old School Chocolate Pudding. As a child I loved hot school lunches and especially the treats the lunch ladies made for us! I went to school in a small town in upstate New York. All of the grades from kindergarten to 12th were in the same school. We had wooden desks and floors, big stone hallways, small classes and caring teachers. Although I did pull a few pranks on my teachers, I was the kid who put the tacks on the teacher's chair! Then the chocolate sauce bubbles out. 1 Cup of Flour. I recently did a...

Maggie loves to dance and besides marrying her sweetheart, the thing she wanted most was dancing under the stars.and tons of color! We had a huge area to cover in lights and ribbon. When we began pricing ribbon, we figured it would cost about $2,000 to buy enough ribbon to cover this amazing garden in color. To anchor the poles into the ground, we poun...
