Kenya – Mageto – Canada. June 16, 2016. June 16, 2016. While in Canada and as a student at Langley Fine Arts school, I have been taking music as my major and I have been a member of senior school choir. Singing has been my favorite thing while at Langley Fine Arts. I am pretty sure that everybody has something that he or she loves doing, and in my case music is the one thing that makes my soul happy. SECOND VISIT TO WINDERMERE SECONDARY SCHOOL. Kenya – Mageto – Canada. SECOND VISIT TO WINDERMERE SECONDARY SCHOOL. June 15, 2016. I practiced a couple of songs with the choir during the day that they were to perform for their choir concert that night. I then had the privilege to attend and sing some songs with them at the concert too. Among the songs I practiced with them were two Swahili songs ‘Jambo Bwana’ and ‘Baba yetu’ where I taught the choir some movements. Once again thank you very much! June 20, 2016 at 5:39 am. Thank you, Victor! June 22,...

KILMER VISIT – Kenya – Mageto – Canada
https://kenyamagetocanada.wordpress.com/2016/06/21/kilmer-visit
Kenya – Mageto – Canada. June 21, 2016. What a wonderful day at Kilmer? At the end of the school day I had a chance to play tag with the grade fours. We went outside where we ran all around the school. Trust me, some kids were realy fast. I take this noble chance to thank the Kilmer staff and the kids for having given me a warm welcome to their school. I also would love to thank Andrew Corbould the principal for having invited me over to his school. I had much fun with the kids. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Bowling! Victor’s specialty. – Kenya- James- Canada
https://kenyajamescanada.wordpress.com/2016/03/21/bowling-victors-specialty/comment-page-1
Yesterday I had an opportunity to try out bowling for the first time in my life. I had so many expectations because I had heard so many good things about it from people who had tried it. Victor came nearly halfway through the game and he took Alison’s turn. His first ever bowling throw was a strike! All the pins went down! Everybody was super amazed including me. He is so good at aiming, he even got a double (hitting two strikes in a row). I was the one leading from behind but I also succeeded as...One g...

My visit to Canada has been full of new experiences, one after the other, from snowshoeing to skating to skiing. Never had I imagined I would do all these things but I have had an opportunity to do them. My dreams have always been of being in the air, I want to pursue a career in aeronautical engineering and yesterday I began my career. It was like a dream come true, all those dreams that I had had as a young boy were now becoming reality. It was ‘ one small step for James’. We first went through another...

From my visit in Canada I’ve experienced things that I never thought or imagined that I would experience. From going to the movies, to watching live rugby games. I had never imagined myself watching a rugby game live, cheering for my team. But on Sunday I had an amazing chance to do that. Something happened that I will never forget, Andrew Graham, the principal of Maple Creek middle school took me underground to meet the Kenyan players and I had this a. Mazing opportunity to take pictures with Collins an...

4th Annual Perogie Party – Kenya- James- Canada
https://kenyajamescanada.wordpress.com/2016/06/26/4th-annual-perogie-party
4th Annual Perogie Party. This was nothing compared to the total number of perogies needed-2000. Luckily, Toni had some other volunteers who came out and helped out with the making of the perogies. Nevertheless, it is a hard job and it is so humbling to see her sacrifice her own spare time to make the perogies for the past three years so that students in Kenya can go to school. Thanks to all the people who supported Toni in making the event a success. My gratitude also goes to all the people who atte...

Union Mission Gospel In Downtown East Vancouver- The Power of sharing. There is power in some of the actions some people perform day in day out. One of these actions, as I have come to realize, is helping. Knowing that at the end of the day you have made a change in a person’s life is really important to an individual. This achievement struck some questions in me. I was asking myself how they have managed such a feat, giving three meals a day to over 250 people all year long. I asked an employee ...Soon ...

A WEEKEND IN KAMLOOPS. Kamloops. The dry and arid land near two majestic rivers. I had heard a lot about Kamloops and how beautiful it is and this time I was going to experience it first hand. My homestay brother had a baseball tournament in Kamloops and so we were going there to cheer him on. 8217; I constantly asked myself this question and when I posed it to my homestay mum, she explained that it was all the dust carried in the snow during winter. It’s hard to imagine, the clean fluffy, whit...Sadly w...
