And backpacking style. To avoid aggravating the injury, I’m working to shed ounces from my pack base weight. Hiking the Pacific Northwest Trail 2013. July 30, 2013. Down to Moyie River and back up! So you get what I’m saying. Hiking is like dancing for me, in a way. But I’m the tiny, well-defined point of contact and the great earth with all its incomprehensible detail is my surface. The trail is my pathway in this dance.
