Not always lost - Adventures of a modern pagan. A personal photo journal of my meanderings around some of Britain's neolithic heritage - and a few other pagan inspired things too. Sunday, 26 April 2015. It's been a weekend in the Iron Age for me - more so than usual I might say. Firstly I got some images from a film shoot. I took part in last January on Dartmoor. Though we had unrestricted access to it. And the passage way. There is also a chamber off to the left which has a large stone inside. F...So on...

Not always lost - Adventures of a modern pagan. A personal photo journal of my meanderings around some of Britain's neolithic heritage - and a few other pagan inspired things too. Sunday, 24 May 2015. It's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK which means that half the country headed to the South West - me included! With a typical bank holiday weather forecast ( ie wet) we didn't want to go too far so headed with the crowds to Porlock Weir. Uphill of course. As usual. It is dedicated to St Beuno, a Welsh...

Not always lost - Adventures of a modern pagan. A personal photo journal of my meanderings around some of Britain's neolithic heritage - and a few other pagan inspired things too. Sunday, 8 March 2015. Wayford Woods has been much in the news. An attempt has been made in one place to introduce some other plants. Very pretty hellebore but it's a shame they've chosen some fancy double hybrid. And so on to the famous "fairy doors". The cull has obviously started as many trees sported hinges but no doors.

Not always lost - Adventures of a modern pagan. A personal photo journal of my meanderings around some of Britain's neolithic heritage - and a few other pagan inspired things too. Sunday, 17 May 2015. Sunning with the Devil. Exmoor this week - it ALWAYS rains on me on Exmoor but not this time! Well apart from the odd pony or two of course. I think this one needs his fringe cut! Several uphill miles later ( or at least what felt like it) we found the stone. It's had a nice little house built for it to...

One of our many lurkers posted that Summer Solstice always seemed to come too soon and then we begin to lose daylight. That got me started thinking. One of my favorite things about Paganism is the Wheel of the Year, and the lessons that it teaches. Pagans know that just as the light doesn’t last forever, neither does the darkness. Crafty Witch in the West. Crafts, cooking and more! Wednesday, 13 May 2015. Dandelion and Rosemary Cookies. First credit to the originator of this recipe: Gather. This is a blog I am now following! I'm always on the lookout for new and original recipes and as the garden still has plenty of dandelions I thought I'd give this a try. First to raid the garden. Plenty of dandelions and the rosemary is in need of a good trim so I have the two key ingredients already. The recipe is simple enough. Once mixed I a...

Witchypoo's Book of Shadows. Welcome to my mix media World. Wednesday, 18 September 2013. For the second time a branch come off our peach tree due to the amount of plums. Over Friday and Saturday I picked all I could not only from the dropped branch but also the tree. In the pictures you can see just one of the three boxes I filled. Well what do you do with that much fruit? 1 cut you plums in half and remove the stone. They need to be ripe and in good condition. 3 Next fill about 1/3 of the jar with sugar.

Witchypoo's Book of Shadows. Welcome to my mix media World. Friday, 26 April 2013. At last the sun arrived over the weekend. This meant lots of time in the garden. Time to pot up tomatoes, chilli plants and potatoes. Well the potatoes were just put out into a well dug over bed with compost added. Sunday, 14 April 2013. Green Skittles at Ally Pally. This weekend it was the Big Stamp and Scrap booking show at Ally Pally! The large hall was open this year and there was plenty to see but it was SO BUSY on mo...
