elswinger's world: Rest In Peace Larry
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/rest-in-peace-larry.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Friday, April 10, 2009. Rest In Peace Larry. It is with deep regret that I have to notify you that Larry passed away on Wednesday, 4/8/2009. He appreciated all who read his blog since it gave him a sense of purpose. During some otherwise trying times. Can you tell us what happened? This is so sad. I hope he wasn't alone. April 10, 2009 at 6:52 PM. April 10, 2009 at 7:24 PM.

It's been a rough day and as of this moment in writing it is only 1:30 pm. WARNING: It gets graphic! I greeted the day at 8:30 am with a case of explosive diarrhea after. This has been a hard weekend with just a few bright spots. What is going wrong (so far):. Not having a useable toilet or toilet-type device. The sun is out for a third (or...

http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/productive-day.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Friday, April 3, 2009. My View to the North. My View To The West. Up until today, to log on my options were to go to the library (and I got SOAKED on the way back) or somewhere on the Ave that has free wi-fi. Now it's not an issue since I am internet enabled. So last night I got nice and made myself a Fried Egg and Bacon Hoagie with Miracle Whip. A couple Pale Saints live.

elswinger's world: November 2008
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Sunday, November 30, 2008. A Scorching Sunday in Seattle. It is insufferably hot! Outside it is 50-something and raining. Inside it is 80º. Old people have bad circulation so they are always cold. One resident, Ray, wears a down parka all the time. Even in summer , when it was 80º outside. And pick at my food. I should get some cookies or something. Saturday, November 29, 2008.

elswinger's world: A quick one
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/quick-one.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Sunday, April 5, 2009. I got to dash this off before the sun goes down. Until I get a lamp by my bed or a very long stick to flick off the wall switch, I have to get to bed while I can still see. It's almost too dark to see and I got to pee. Tomorrow. Congrats and good luck with the new place. I hope: that your nurses can get a key, that you buy a grabber, and that you have...

elswinger's world: Out and About
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/out-and-about.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Saturday, April 4, 2009. I took my camera with me because I wanted to take pictures of what the curbs and roads look like near my apartment building I took pictures of 20 different curbs, but the photos below are representative. If only the Mayor spent 10% on neighborhood road repaving as much as he spent on developing North Gate, my travels wouldn't be so difficult.

elswinger's world: Tomorrow I will have the internet
http://elswingers-world.blogspot.com/2009/04/tomorrow-i-will-have-internet.html
Life in Seattle for a 40-something who is learning to live on his own in a wheelchair after a year and a half in a nursing home. Thursday, April 2, 2009. Tomorrow I will have the internet. Tomorrow I will have the internet and HDTV. Now I just need a TV. The weather has been really crappy, cold rain and snow, so yesterday I didn't go out so ran a lot of errands today. I am at the Seattle Library in the U-District, which is two or three locks from my apartment right now. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
