Idle chatter from a frustrated dieter. June 28, 2008. I have known all along that I am an emotional eater, but it was never so apparent as last night! Plus, I had gotten him a new cell phone and a plan that included unlimited texting and couldn’t wait to surprise him with it.).So, what did I do in my moment of anxiety and disappointment? I went straight to the freezer and got one of the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches that Oprah loves! It tasted so good, and for a brief moment filled a pit of sadness!

Idle chatter from a frustrated dieter. I am a frustrated woman who is. Too short for her appetitite. What does this mean? I am short and fat and feel like a salmon swimming upstream in my daily battle to control eating impulsively and overcoming my weight issues. I spend 9 months a year as a pre-k teacher, and 12 months a year as a wife and mother of the two most amazing sons, ages 16 and 26. My oldest son is married to a beautiful skinny girl. I am the only fat person in the group!

This was basically our family's version of "labor and delivery." We were so blessed to have our families there to witness this very special day! A HUGE, GIGANTIC, THANK YOU. Then on January 2nd we left for our medical mission. I was only 4 weeks postop and could not lift more than 10 pounds, but there were no problems. We had a fabulous experience in the Philippines.
