Sunday, September 26, 2010. 4 months / 23 months. Today Lucy is 4 months and Patrick is 23 months! I was looking at Patrick's 1 year old picture and was noticing how much he's grown in the last year. He's such a little boy! We were at the parish Fiesta today and there was a petting zoo. Patrick had a great time! He immediately grabbed a little chick with both hands. "Bird! Who has room for a Guinness when there's a tent full of awesome food! Lucy giggles as Daddy sings to her. Patrick grabbed a chick.

Saturday, November 20, 2010. We went to the Austin Zoo last Thursday. It's really an animal sanctuary, but I was pretty impressed with the number of animals that they had. There were lions, panthers, cougars, tigers, and even a big lazy bear. I felt like you got a closer look at some of the animals than you typically do at the big zoos. Several basic IPA’s out there are bland. Insipid. Ordinary. One-dimensional. I’m looking at you, Redhook. You too, Pyramid. Dechutes, your Cascadian Dark Ale (black IPA) was a good beer, but the hop profile initially screamed at me. Must have been too citrusy, quite possibly the Citra hops. It You could inoculate it with small bit of brett.
