the MathSmith: November 2012
http://themathsmith.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 10, 2012. Made4Math Monday - No Cell Phones. It's been too long since I participated in #Made4Math Monday.I know it's Saturday, but now is the time that I have to do this. Our trimester ends on Tuesday. We have exams on Monday and Tuesday and a "teacher work day" on Wednesday. I use quotation marks because the morning is filled with meetings. I'm getting a crash course on data director since we use that to grade our exams, etc. Again, if you want the word document, let me know. :-).

the MathSmith: #Made4Math Mon...well, Thursday - Laminated Graph Paper
http://themathsmith.blogspot.com/2013/04/made4math-monwell-thursday-laminated.html
Thursday, April 11, 2013. Made4Math Mon.well, Thursday - Laminated Graph Paper. This trimester, I am teaching Algebra 2 along with Algebra 1. We started the trimester graphing cubic and quartic polynomials. One of the things I'm trying to work on is having the students get up out of their seats more. So I asked myself, "How can I have them graph at the board without them wasting their time making their own grids or having their graphs look like a disaster? Then it hit me! Laminated huge graph paper grids!

Perspectives on High School Math. Thursday, December 11, 2014. The World Is Awesome And So Are Bloggers! I am not at school today. I am training (yay! Do I do it normally? Heh No. But, I do understand the great power of blogs because I've learned so much. DruinkOK, PamJWilson, and so, so many others (the speaker is ending. I have to stop! They are going to make me move.) The speaker just talked about how "Twitter is the best PD opportunity for teachers". I know! Shoutout to #MTBOS for being amazing!

misscalcul8: Remind App
http://misscalculate.blogspot.com/2015/08/remind-app.html
I LOVE the Remind App. And I use it often. I know we've talked about it on Twitter some but it seems like more of my blog readers are not my Twitter friends. I wanted to share how I use it in case someone hasn't heard of it yet. Students just need to text a code to a number (don't need a smartphone or the app). Students cannot reply to me. Students don't see my number and I don't see theirs. No messages can ever be deleted. Every message is saved to your message history. You can have multiple classes.

http://8ismyluckynumber.blogspot.com/2017/01/goodbye-2016-hello-2017.html
8 is my lucky number. Monday, January 2, 2017. Goodbye 2016 Hello 2017. I have been enjoying reading new 2017 posts on Twitter from #MTBoS and figured I should wrap up 2016 with some stats and set up 2017 with some goals. On my blog, I wrote 73 posts this year! I looked back to see I wrote my first blog post on 3/11/13, my husband's birthday. I have written 198 posts in total, so last year was busy! I do love writing, blogging, reflecting, and having a journal of my work. 3 conferences so far. A Day in t...

Sch00l Stuff: Quick and Easy Way to Learn Students' Names
http://sch00lstuff.blogspot.com/2015/08/quick-and-easy-way-to-learn-students.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. Quick and Easy Way to Learn Students' Names. This odd exchange always seemed to disrupt the flow of the class and did nothing to foster the culture and climate I had hoped to establish. Finally, problem solved! Here is how to make them:. 1 Have students get a sheet of paper from their notebook. 2 Make a fold about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the sheet. It ends up looking like a rectangle from the front. And a triangle when you look at it from the side. Subscribe to: Post C...

http://sch00lstuff.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I think that I'm a bit late with this #TechieTuesday find, but it is too good not to share and maybe, just maybe, Bag the Web is new to you too:) I kind of stumbled upon this one as I was watching a webinar on Humanizing Your Online Class. By Michelle Pancasky-Brock while doing research for my summer course. Michelle started the video off by telling the listeners that she had a virtual goody bag. For all of us to enjoy. Immediately my ears perked up. To technology integration ideas.

Mathematical Misconceptions: Supporting Students | My Road to Teaching
https://myroadtoteaching.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/mathematical-misconceptions-supporting-students
My Road to Teaching. A blog about the ups and downs and all arounds of becoming a teacher! Mathematical Misconceptions: Supporting Students. March 1, 2014. As a future teacher, I want to grow and learn to find out how best to support students that are struggling on a regular (and timely) basis to ensure that they don’t fall behind their classmates, but also to ensure that they are really understanding the numbers and operations that they are using.
