Pamlico Property Preview: October 2014
http://pamlicopropertypreview.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. October, which is historically a problematic month for the stock market, had a brief 7% correction during mid month but then snapped right back to finish the month at brand new all time highs. With improving consumer confidence, low interest rates, and a stock market at new highs, the real estate market should be showing signs of strength, right? Wrong The Standard and Poors Case. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Out With The Old, In With The New. Money, the fuel upon which the economy runs, is cheap - cheaper even than it was a year ago. At this time a year ago, the yield on the 10 Year Treasury stood at 3.03%. It closed out the last day of trading for 2014 at 2.17% and the average interest rate on a 30 year fixed mortgage stood at 3.87%. Is quite simply that this is a great place to sail and a long season in which to enjoy being out on the water. It is still very much of a "Buyer's...

Pamlico Property Preview: May 2015
http://pamlicopropertypreview.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Early in January I suggested that 2015 would be a better year for real estate here in Pamlico County than 2014. While lot sales have exceeded the pace of 2014, home sales have not. I expect that this will change. Posted by Nick Santoro. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pamlico Property Preview: August 2014
http://pamlicopropertypreview.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 1, 2014. As we observed on the July 31st there were two notable surprises. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which had been quietly making a series of new highs in recent months fell more than 300 points and the Ten Year Treasury bounced up to 2.59%. The drop in the Dow erased the entire gain for the year in that index. And www.sailingcapitolofnc.org. Posted by Nick Santoro. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, July 31, 2015. July Update - A Tale of Two Markets. For anyone considering a lot purchase here in Pamlico County, you should be aware that while there are many lots currently on the market, there are only a few that offer sailboat depth water. If that characteristic is an important feature for your future plans, you should take the time to explore the current possibilities. That small number will only get smaller over time. Thursday, October 31, 2013. Posted by Nick Santoro. Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Third Quarter Wrap Up. Pamlico Property Preview: March 2014
http://pamlicopropertypreview.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 1, 2014. In Like a Lamb. While many parts of the country are still caught in the grips of this lion of a winter, the real estate market has spent the first two months of the new year limping in like a wounded lamb. It is difficult to know, as yet, how much of the lamb's wounds were inflicted by winter's lion. The answer to that question will have to wait until the cherry blossoms bloom. Posted by Nick Santoro.
