Saturday, October 23, 2010. Pumpkin Pie for breakfast? Not quite. But it's the next best thing. With melt-in-your-mouth, homemade buttermilk syrup}. 1 1/4 C buttermilk (or sour cream). 4 T melted butter. 1 1/4 C flour. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mix all ingredients and cook on griddle. My mouth is watering just typing this. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Boil butter, sugar and buttermilk. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda. Stir. Pour over hot pancakes. And if you eat. This is Big R.

The Carmel Factory: Catching Up
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2011/02/catching-up.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. I've been neglecting this blog! Here is a real quick catch-up! Miss H turned 6 months. Time is going so fast. She is now 18 lbs (my first baby under 20 lbs at this age), sitting up and eating solids. She loves music and grabbing everything in sight. She is also sleeping through the night which is just lovely. And lastly, our basement is coming along! We are all insulated, sheet rocked and painted! Baby H is growing up so fast and we are missing it! February 3, 2011 at 4:46 PM.

The Carmel Factory: Birthday Boy
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2011/04/birthday-boy.html
Thursday, April 28, 2011. My oldest is 9. It's great, crazy and worrisome. Great because he is so fun and really a good kid. Crazy because if he's getting old, that means I'm getting old. And worrisome because I've had him for half of his non-adult life and I start thinking, "Have I really taught him anything? Am I doing a good enough job? Am I preparing him to be successful? Oh, the stress! But, back to Mr. I. He opted out of a party this year because he wanted a more expensive birthday present (he is.

The Carmel Factory: March 2011
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 6, 2011. We got the basement bathroom all tiled! We still have to grout and install the shower floor, but at least the hard part is done! It was hard to get a good picture because of the angle, but this gives you the general idea. :). Friday, March 4, 2011. I made these seriously scrumptious cookies yesterday. I ate 4 of them - 4 giant cookies.and I ran sprints this morning. Good luck. 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (when I make these again, I will only use 4 to 4 1/4 cups flour). 3 Place the...

The Carmel Factory: March 2010
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Have you ever woken up to this? Most wives would probably be horrified, jump out of bed and demand to know what happened. I took a good look, shook my head and grabbed the camera. This "mouse", that I incorrectly called a shiner, happened last night during one of Bryan's "training" classes. The things I put up with. Thursday, March 11, 2010. Happy Anniversary to us! Thanks babe for making the first decade unforgettable - here's to us and the many more years to come.

The Carmel Factory: July 2010
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Can you say, "Best baby ever? Seriously, this little angel is practically perfect. She only wakes up once during the night, hardly ever cries, doesn't spit up and is perfectly content to lay in my lap while I'm sitting! No pacing the halls, it's amazing! Now, I know it's only been a little over a week and things could change any moment, but for the time being we are enjoying every minute. Why the strange names? Sunday, July 18, 2010. The Carmel Factory: 9 months
http://carmelfactory.blogspot.com/2011/04/9-months.html
Sunday, April 10, 2011. My baby is 9 months! She is trying her hardest to crawl, but for the time being we are enjoying the immobility. This is how we find her most mornings. Sucking on these two fingers with the other hand laying on top. And when fingers fail, the toes come in quite handy. She is definitely a favorite around here. The boys are so sweet to her. We just love this little bundle. Happy 9 months Miss H. Okay, this is almost more than a grandma can take! When does the next plane leave?
