HISTORY OF PARKER’S CROSSROADS. Parker’s Crossroads is located at the intersection of Interstate 40 (I-40) and Tennessee Highway 22 at Exit 108. Parker’s Crossroads is midway between Memphis and Nashville. Memphis is approximately 108 miles west and Nashville is approximately 100 miles east. Jackson is approximately 26 miles west. HISTORY OF PARKER’S CROSSROADS. In 1994 the Tennessee Division of Archeology, with the assistance of volunteers from the PCBA, conducted a dig at what has been established as the Union Burial Site. Three separate excavations were conducted to confirm the Union burial site. The new organization first established and dedicated the Battle of Parkers Crossroads Self-Guided Driving Tour in 1994.
