Gladys Russell Wildlife Preserve

Gladys Russell Wildlife Refuge. While Gladys Russell is a wildlife preserve with excellent opportunities for bird watching and photography, it also offers a number of low intensity uses including hiking, picnicking, horseback riding, and fishing. Water and sanitary facilities have been added, making activity by larger groups, such as family reunions and educational field trips, possible. Fishing Dock at Southwest corner of Lake. Bird houses and duck boxes are in place to draw nesting pairs.

Bright Meadows Community Park. Follow the link above for up to date information relating to this park. At Bright Meadows the focus is definitely on sports. This community park has two baseball fields, a soccer/pee-wee football field, half-court basketball facility, fitness path, playground, shelter houses and two parking areas. This park can be found at the southeast corner of State Line Road and Einsel Road in Bright.

Thanks to a Boy Scout hiking event at the beginning of Nov. 2011 we discovered some tornado damage from late July of that year to a stand of timber at the remote southern end of County Farm Park.
