Academy in Asia: Thoughts from Sarah
http://academyinasia.blogspot.com/2011/04/thoughts-from-sarah.html
Notes from the WA8 Thailand Team : 14th - 28th March 2011. Friday, 1 April 2011. Everyone rose daily to the challenge of living in a culture not their own; different food, hot weather, insect bites, language barriers, massive spiders and at times, less than comfortable sleeping arrangements. As we spent time together praying, studying God's word, worshipping and diagnosing each others ailments (! We grew closer as a team and I now consider Jay, Hazel, Ben, Susanna and Jackie some of my dearest friends.

Academy in Asia: Our Last Sunday in Thailand
http://academyinasia.blogspot.com/2011/03/our-last-sunday-in-thailand.html
Notes from the WA8 Thailand Team : 14th - 28th March 2011. Sunday, 27 March 2011. Our Last Sunday in Thailand. Next morning we went to church in Phop Pra, where we’d been a few days before. As we arrived at the traditional Thai house we were met with the incongruous sound of a wild rock guitar from within. After a little while Pastor Peacefully came out and apologised for keeping us waiting. He said he’d been so carried away practicing he’d lost track of the time. We walked up to the church and set up.

Academy in Asia: 25th March: Noh Bo Bible School
http://academyinasia.blogspot.com/2011/03/25th-march-noh-bo-bible-school.html
Notes from the WA8 Thailand Team : 14th - 28th March 2011. Sunday, 27 March 2011. 25th March: Noh Bo Bible School. At Mae La and Phop Phra we had visited Baptist churches, but Noh Boh is Pentecostal, or “Hallelujah Church” as it’s called here. After a brief sit down and an introduction from Christ Htoo (pronounced ‘Kristoo’) we went over to the church for a rather rowdy evening worship time. In the west we fear things like rejection, disease or unemployment. These people fear crossing the border back...

Bare feet for Burma: 17-May-2008
http://barefeetforburma.blogspot.com/2008_05_17_archive.html
View my complete profile. Saturday, 17 May 2008. Barefoot walk to London. It is now over seven months since I shaved my head and began walking barefoot in the wake of the brutal suppression of Burma’s saffron revolution. It has been a truly amazing and enriching experience for me, from the first few months when everybody wanted to know what was happening and I received daily messages from well wishers, to now, when for me and almost everybody else, it has taken on a sense of normality. Are one of the man...

Party | Teaching OT in faraway places
https://asiabible.wordpress.com/party-invitation
Teaching OT in faraway places. Mae La refugee camp. For my 40th I had a big birthday bash, we were in Congo then, and two ambassadors and a brass band took part! Hitting 60 I wanted “something special” to celebrate. However, since we are just back from four weeks in a refugee camp on the Burma/Thailand border, a straight-out party seems wrong somehow. So, we held. Tim’s Big 60 Rambo *. The existing Boy’s dorm. Work starting on the new dorm. The church needs about NZ$4,000 to finish the roof. We have ...
