The morning started off well with two young deer prancing up the track as I pulled up,a lovely sight at 5am.i opted for the jungle swim on Lake 2 and set about putting a few bits of crust out along the margin.wasn't long before the overhanging bush started to move and twitch and I could see there was a couple of fish up for an early breakfast! Tuesday, 1 July 2014. The last couple of weeks has seen me back to carron row farm for some quick evening sessions,it started on Monday 9th June. One of crfs finest from lake 3. Lol ,i stood there in an almost stalemate situation when all of a sudden the fish literally leapt forward and gulped the bread down and proceeded to strip line from my new reel! Claire and i sat in the van for about 10 minutes almost willing an instant thaw but obviously this wasn't gonna happen,so reluctantly we headed for home,halfway home we decided to give another favourite perch water a visit so we diverted off to headlands farm at Romsey.
