Just Carli Being Carli. Monday, December 14, 2009. A POST THAT WILL MAKE SENSE TO A FEW NEXT TO NORMAL FANS, AND NO ONE ELSE. Then again, when do my posts ever make much sense to anyone? Anyhoo, in honor of Alice Ripley's birthday, I'm going to ghostwrite a memoir, called "She Only Pours the Kashi: The Tragic Tell-All Story of an Unopened Box of Weetabix.". Also, on a mostly unrelated matter, I'm thinking of having a t-shirt made that says, "Suspend Disbelief, Mother Fucker! Posted by Carli N. Wendell.

Tales chronicling the growing insanity of students studying for the bar. Thursday, May 31, 2007. So much for "studying" - I think I'll stick with the whole trying to attend class thing and keep my eyes open. Wednesday, May 30, 2007. PLEASE brush your teeth. I was just commiserating with colleagues about the job search, when I was reminded of an email we received about a year ago from our ever helpful career services department. I've cut and pasted the most of it (with some emphasis added). 10 Any documen...

Thoughts on musical theatre, creating art, and occasionally comic books. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Music Directors Need Tonys, Too. I totally agree that there should be a Tony for Best Ensemble. But the Tony Award that needs to exist above all other Tony Awards is one for Music Director (as the crazily talented Georgia Stitt. Pointed out on Twitter). How does this not exist? I mean, seriously. Seriously? Links to this post. Friday, May 21, 2010. Tearing Up The Slips of Paper: EVERYDAY RAPTURE. I wanted so...

Thoughts on musical theatre, creating art, and occasionally comic books. Thursday, October 29, 2009. A Little Night Landsbury. I will never say anything against Angela Landsbury. One of my clearest memories of my grandmother, who died when I was in fifth grade, is of us watching Murder, She Wrote. Together. I wasn't even aware of Landsbury's stage work until college (my parents are non-theatregoing scientists, what do you want from me) and I'm lukewarm about her performance in Sweeney Todd. Speaking of C...

Balliett, B., and Helquist, B. (2004). New York: Scholastic Press. I love a good mystery, and this one definitely kept me guessing. A. Interesting and unique, like Calder’s pentominos, and how Calder and Petra eat blue M&Ms as they work out the clues to the mystery. Like Ellen Raskin’s. One at a time! 5154-55.
