We have several missions including:. We advocate strong protection of patents and other forms of intellectual property, so our primary focus is on patent reform legislation. Patent Reform that Is Really Reform. We oppose reform proposals that are not really reform but, in fact, weaken our patent system by making patents less valuable and harder to enforce. We support maintaining the current First-to-Invent system, and oppose the First-to-File regime proposed by some. We propose a two-tier patent system.
