Pathological Procrastinator: In prep for the big day

http://pathologicalprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2009/12/in-prep-for-big-day.html

I'm too busy faffing to fill this in. Sunday, 27 December 2009. In prep for the big day. As I type this, my dad is out clearing the snow from the drive way in preparation for the big day tomorrow. He did the same thing yesterday but unfortunately for him we had more snow overnight. Actually, I think it's doing him some good. You know how parents can't sit still when there's a big event underway. Particularly one where there's public speaking involved. You see tomorrow is my wee brother's wedding!

Pathological Procrastinator: TV-tastic

http://pathologicalprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2010/01/tv-tastic.html

I'm too busy faffing to fill this in. Monday, 4 January 2010. My new favourite Belgian tv program is "Man bijt hond.". It's a captivating wee insight into the lives of every day Belgians. It's a breath of fresh air in contrast to the run of the mill reality tv format in that it is genuine and simple in its topics, subjects and filming style. Pathological Procrastinator: Achoo!

http://pathologicalprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2010/01/achoo.html

I'm too busy faffing to fill this in. Wednesday, 6 January 2010. On another note, I shall be tuning into BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show. Now that Moira Stuart will be the newsreader with Chris Evans as the new host. Ps I ordered a replacement book for my Dutch class on Monday from the publisher and it arrived today before they've even asked for payment - fantastic service! Labels: Ik hou van Belgie. Please give it a try or feel free to recomend it to anyone who could find it useful:. Words of the day.

Pathological Procrastinator: Everybody needs good neighbours

http://pathologicalprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2010/01/everybody-needs-good-neighbours.html

I'm too busy faffing to fill this in. Sunday, 3 January 2010. Everybody needs good neighbours. It's 8:55am on a Sunday and yet again there are un-Sunday-like loud noises coming from our apartment building! One of the joys of having retired people living in your block! Shouldn't they be in church at this time? They better have a good excuse for waking me out of my slumber for this. For example, they've broken their hip whilst sweeping the snow from the front door. *TUT*. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Pathological Procrastinator: yesterday

http://pathologicalprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2009/11/yesterday.html

I'm too busy faffing to fill this in. Thursday, 26 November 2009. 45 hours, zero sleep and 2 very tired eyes. 22 plates of food served at dinner - one very full stomach. Whisky in honour of my culture.I managed to defend the glass being refilled. I slept like a log last night when I finally got to bed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The eagle has landed. Im not in a fucking bad mood! You know you live abroad when. Is the appartment still free? Room with a view.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I got blindsided by a minor existential crisis whilst putting my bins out this evening. I guess it's as valid a trigger as any. I've only just about regrouped with myself and the analyses and stats on the event are far from complete, so I would have to speculate that it was the reiterative nature of the task itself that triggered tonight's existentialist grand-mal. Call me Sisyphus. Pencil and paper schematics of ". So, basically, my life started off in ". That's me. And ".

Sunday, April 06, 2008. A different way to party. What with Jo being in-between two jobs, she has heaps of time to scour the web for fun things for us to do. A couple of weeks ago, she came across Motel Mozaique. And promptly suggested we get tickets. It's in Rotterdam and while it seems to have a decent line-up, what drew me in was the promise of a non-traditional festival experience. Instead of camping out in tents on a festival field, festival-goers are guided to somewhat unusual sleeping locations.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008. I don't own a TV. Not one that works at least. I realise this is quite a shocking statement in this day and age, but it's a mere matter of self preservation. Whenever I am faced with a TV screen, I turn into a drooling catatonic. It's not an appealing sight, I can assure you. Or is it the easiest way to spend their evening? So do me a favor. Next time I come around yours, please leave me my dignity and switch off your TV? Posted by Dr.Pew @ 7:14 pm. Can I just move in with you?

Sunday, March 30, 2008. I struggle with weekends. Or rather, the mornings. I find myself trapped by two highly conflicting desires: getting the most out of my free time, by kickstarting my day early or having a lazy snuggley lie-in. As a result, I generally spend a half an hour struggling with a decision, before I get up to start my day, wishing I'd had a lie in. It would appear the grass IS always greener on the other side. In other words. if you want a full account of her move over to the Flatlands. I suggest you direct yourself to her blog. She's developed a wee obsession with her statcounter. Thursday, May 08, 2008. When you move to the flatlands from a foreign country, you have to report yourself to the Belgian "vreemdelingendienst". To help Jo out a little, I filed the initial report online and called staff at the foreigners' department to arrange an appointment for her. When she first entered, the lady had asked her whether she knew this "Sarah" person. Jo being Scottish, thinks my name is "Sera". So when the lady pronounced it the Flemish way, it didn't register and Jo swiftly rep...But c...

Monday, February 25, 2008. On the way back from our favourite pub last Friday, Jo was reading out all the street signs, by way of practicing her budding Dutch. It’s an act that rarely requires my input, and more often than not, her mutterings simply provide a soft familiar background sound against the usual humdrum of city noise.
