Pathway Horticulture and Science

Pathway Horticulture and Science. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Inertia broken, seeds are on the way. After a few weeks of off and on examination of seed catalogs this past winter had created a huge list of possibilities. I delayed and delayed and delayed. Oh probably this and that and some more of the other thing. But finally I was faced with a need for my favorite zucchini. Seeds, both of which I will start directly outside in a week or two along with the green beans and swiss chard. Saturday, May 8, 2010.

Pathway Horticulture and Science: views of the world

http://pathwayhorticulture.blogspot.com/2010/05/views-of-world.html

Pathway Horticulture and Science. Saturday, May 8, 2010. Views of the world. As my first year of using Conceptual Physics. Comes to a close, I am happy with my choice. The man won huge points in the first chapter, About Science. Near the end of that chapter he has a section called Science, Art, and Religion. He sees them as different ways to view the world and thus can complement each other. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where it takes place. View my complete profile. My most used gardening book.

Pathway Horticulture and Science. Monday, July 27, 2009. Diseases. of bee balm and men. Certain plants seem to attract powdery mildew, and bee balm seems to be one of them. It still manages to attract hummingbirds even when diseased. Here. Is some info on the fungus, and what can be done when it shows up. I have used the 1 tablespoon of baking soda per gallon of water approach to control its spread in the past and I am using it again this year. Sorry, no photo of the diseased man. Pathway Horticulture and Science: of Echinoderms and tomatoes

http://pathwayhorticulture.blogspot.com/2010/05/of-echinoderms-and-tomatoes.html

Pathway Horticulture and Science. Sunday, May 2, 2010. Of Echinoderms and tomatoes. The zoology class spent the week exploring the world of echinoderms; and what a wonderful example of what can evolve out of basic characteristics, which in this case are 5 part radial symmetry, tube feet, and an internal skeleton. The earthworms of the sea floor, sea cucumbers, have a few swimmers in their midst. And then I was much pleased to find this new post on sea stars. Tis a cool world. Where it takes place.

It is SO fun to head out to the garden these days- all kinds of goodies out there! Today I found the FIRST true ripe full-size tomatoes. Digging in the Dirt! You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. Author Unknown. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. The tomatoes are coming! The tomatoes are coming! Yesterday was the weekly CSA pickup day. The baskets contained beans, peppers, jalapenos, a purple kohlrabi, cherry tomatoes, and even a REAL standard tomato- the first ones to ripen! There are tons of green tomatoes up there, so I'm looking forward to a good harvest. Beets, chard, radishes and carrots. The first plantings of most of those ...

Digging in the Dirt! You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. Author Unknown. Friday, January 14, 2011. Green- a thing of beauty. This was a huge King of the North pepper I harvested a few years back. My mom put it in a teacup to show just how big it really was. This beauty had very thick walls and the plants produced well. Last year I had terrible luck with peppers. Just goes to show how the weather can really make or break the veggies! This summer I'm hoping to see a few more like this one!

Digging in the Dirt! You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. Author Unknown. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. OH boy, do I have my work cut out for me! These fences held up my cucumber plants last year. This area isn't too scary and most of the mulch is still in place. My dad was cleaning out the barn and brought up a lot of old hay for me to use as mulch. Unfortunately, he brought it up last fall, so guess what. we've been feeding the deer all winter. I have lost too many strawberry plants to count;...

Digging in the Dirt! You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. Author Unknown. Thursday, January 13, 2011. A photo a day. So on my FaceBook profile, I started a project where I am taking and posting a photo each day to share a little something about my life. My daughter suggested I do the same thing on my garden blog. Well, right now all you would see of my garden is white snowdrifts! And the tomatoes were great, too! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enter your email address:. A photo a day.
