Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany: April 2010
http://agermanyear.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The World's Only Grand Duchy. As I mentioned in my last post, my sister recently visited me. I still had to work, but we kept busy and had plenty of fun around Frankfurt nonetheless. For her second weekend in town, though, we decided to head out for a while, so we caught a train to Luxembourg. The view from the keep was great - you can see down into the valley of the Sauer river and the train tracks that follow it. This castle dates...

http://agermanyear.blogspot.com/2009/09/la-narval-de-paris.html
Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany. Monday, September 21, 2009. La Narval de Paris. Apparently I didn't tell almost anyone back home that I was planning on going with my language school to Paris. Well, I went to Paris this weekend, and as you can guess, it was awesome. Talk about a beautiful city with endless amounts of art, culture, history, food, and public transit! I hadn't planned to go to Paris while living in Germany this year, but when the opportunity came, how could I say no? Familiar....

Duck Diamonds: Introducktions
http://duckdiamonds.blogspot.com/2011/08/introducktions.html
Thursday, August 4, 2011. I've never been much good at them. Well, here's something I know: you can tell that a movie is going to be good in the first couple of shots, usually. but not always. Some of us need a bit more time. So stick with me, okay? I like film, books, and TV, comedies in particular. This blog is a place for me to talk about my current preoccupations and generate a bit of friendly conversation. So there you have it. August 9, 2011 at 3:05 PM. Let the blogging begin! Hark, a vagrant: 247.

Duck Diamonds: Directors Playing Darts (1)
http://duckdiamonds.blogspot.com/2011/08/directors-playing-darts-1.html
Thursday, August 18, 2011. Directors Playing Darts (1). There is a bar where all the movie directors go to play darts. Got his darts in 1971 and has used them ever since. They have served him well. Sometimes he has a duplicate set made in Europe and uses those instead, but no one can really tell the difference. Behind the counter, off to the right of the dartboard, hangs a picture of. No one remembers when he first showed up, but received wisdom is that he is the master. There are stories of how ever...

Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany: Farther Along the Mediterranean Coast
http://agermanyear.blogspot.com/2010/08/farther-along-mediterranean-coast.html
Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany. Sunday, August 8, 2010. Farther Along the Mediterranean Coast. After spending a few days in Cinque Terre, me and my friend started our journey to southern France. One of the streets in the old city, which eventually leads up to the Colline du Château. The whole area is quite pretty; we explored the ruins and the old city and ended up eating incredible ratatouille crêpes and drinking French beer while watching Germany lose the quarter-final game against Spai...

Patrick's Continuing Adventures in Germany. Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Last Days As a European Resident. First we had to get from the Gare de Lyon station in the south to the Gare du Nord in the north, and then we had to store our bags. After consulting a map, we realized that we were within walking distance of the Basilique du Sacré Cœur, which I had failed to visit during my last trip to Paris. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
