Monday, 24 March 2014. Annanemone - square one. I've got a week until I have to set up the exhibition at the Warehouse Cafe. It's been a bit manic planning it but really good practice- deciding which work to pick, how to hang it, how to promote yourself. On another note, I finally made a Facebook page. For my brand annanemone. So like it and spread the word, I promise not to spam your news feed too much. Thanks so much for the support! Now that it's on here you can't back out Louise. Ha! I'm so happy I f...

Saturday, 21 June 2014. Our Bristol adventures with Kim. Another important reason for choosing Bristol for our destination was visiting my friend Kim, who I hadn't seen since February = waay too long. She's the best. Kim lives just outside of Bristol in the lovely village of Cleeve, where she has her own wool shop called Alternit Universe, which will be opening this Autumn. She is also the owner of Art Equals Happy, which you can find out more about here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, 18 February 2014. Doodling asparagus and blueberries. The other day my lovely friend Eva, who's living in Boston right now - way too far away from me - kindly asked me to design a pattern for her mouthwatering food blog Pilgrim Soup. So after some time I actually drew pretty things instead of millipedes and cockroaches. I really enjoyed it! Asparagus made the cut. Yay! Here are a few other ones I played around with, which do you prefer and what can you see it on- clothes? I have always loved hat...

Monday, 27 January 2014. Etc So whenever I do go back to Prague (I repeat, not Serbia, nowhere near.), I end up missing this damp island after a while. And vice versa of course. Last week I went to London just for the day with my friends Fika. The fair was more for business owners looking for big amounts of fabrics for good prices and not so much for designers as we hoped. But I discovered Malhia Kent. A French company with some really beautiful woven fabrics. After we got some lunch at The Breakfast Club.

Challenging situations are driven by a single repeating interaction-pattern.

patterntology
The Patternists specialized in cerebral asymmetry. With grossly expanded right-brain hemispheres, they were highly intuitive, given to metaphors, parallels, and sudden cognitive leaps. Their inventive minds and quick, unpredictable genius had given them a competitive edge at first. But with these advantages had come grave weaknesses: autism, fugue states, and paranoia. Patternists grew out of control and became grotesque webs of fantasy." - Bruce Sterling Schismatrix Plus. Crucible Workshop @ The Getty.
