An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement: More Lessons
http://fussylizard.blogspot.com/2006/02/more-lessons.html
An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement. Record of my experience in undertaking Michael de la Maza's "Rapid Chess Improvement" program. Sunday, February 26, 2006. Just thought I'd do a quick post since it has been a while. I think I've done four more lessons w/ Dan Heisman since my last post. Here's a brief re-cap:. I found it interesting that his analysis was not nearly as ordered as I would have thought, but it was still a lot more structured than mine. For example, at the start. I moved a piece twice...

An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement. Record of my experience in undertaking Michael de la Maza's "Rapid Chess Improvement" program. Saturday, August 27, 2005. I love my DGT board except. 1) Improve my thought process. One thing the DGT board has been really helpful with is seeing just how much time I'm spending on each move. It's pretty amazing to me to actually see how much time I spend per move. Link to replay this week's game with commentary. Posted by fussylizard @ 9:13 PM. Man de la Maza (Don).

An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement. Record of my experience in undertaking Michael de la Maza's "Rapid Chess Improvement" program. Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Well, I'm still working on the life story part, but the chapter regarding my exploits in the MDLM plan are posted on my chess page. I really want to add a few more things to it, but I also wanted to get version 1.0 posted. I'd be curious to hear everyone's feedback. If you think I should add something to it, let me know. An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement: It's a Conspiracy...
http://fussylizard.blogspot.com/2006/03/its-conspiracy.html
An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement. Record of my experience in undertaking Michael de la Maza's "Rapid Chess Improvement" program. Tuesday, March 07, 2006. I think there is some sort of conspiracy against me playing OTB tournament chess. Let's consider the evidence:. Three tournaments ago: Some work thing came up to where I had to work the weekend, thereby missing the tournament. Most recent: I was hoping to play in the March 4 round SS at the new chess club in Austin. Hi Peter. Whats happening?

An Experiment in Rapid Chess Improvement. Record of my experience in undertaking Michael de la Maza's "Rapid Chess Improvement" program. Sunday, November 13, 2005. Yesterday I had my first chess lesson with NM Dan Heisman. Overall I would say the lesson was interesting, if not a bit insightful. In general I was not expecting too much since it was only an hour, and I was certainly not disappointed. Overall I enjoyed it and found Dan pleasant to work with. So what did we do?
