doonster: Pictures & thoughts: February 2010
http://doonster.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Doonster: Pictures and thoughts. Random thoughts, photos and the World as I see it. Monday, 22 February 2010. My friend Caroline le Barbier is having a photo exhibition in London of some of her photos from Nepal and Ecuador. Below is the flyer. A bit of self-interest in this one as I helped prep the originals for print (so if the prints are rubbish, it's probably my fault). Prints are for sale, too, in aid of Medecins sans Frontieres. So, if you're in London, drop by and take a look. Links to this post.

Doonster: Pictures and thoughts. Random thoughts, photos and the World as I see it. Friday, 30 October 2009. Lumix LX3 firmware update: in action. Lisbon, October 2009. A photo on a photography blog. Last time I posted a quick view on the Lumix LX3 firmware update (rev 2.1). Last weekend I was putting I to use in the pleasant sunshine of Lisbon. The main way I was using the new lens memory function was to set a fixed focal length of around 40mm-e and zone focus at f/4. Links to this post. As a result, I ...

Doonster: Pictures and thoughts. Random thoughts, photos and the World as I see it. Monday, 21 December 2009. Another post, whatever next. Flight delayed, time to burn in the lounge. An interesting article on HDR techniques. Up on Luminous Landscape. And just as interesting the links to the BBC website on the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year. To start, I agree with Alexandre Buisse on using HDR (and he makes some stunning images, go check out his book. And then there are the comments on the BBC site.

Dog Days | PhotoDino
https://photodino.wordpress.com/2010/08/23/dog-days
A film addicted photographer who doesn't hate digital folk. Since I’ve got a brand new puppy, and since the dog days of summer are still having their way with us here in Denver, I thought I’d share some of my favorite people-and-their-pet images. I really enjoy including Rover and Kitty in family shoots. Our lives wouldn’t be complete without them, and neither is a portrait session. I could post this stuff all day long, but I’ll try to limit myself. Tully, my newest canine child. Gus and his girl. You ar...

Light Scrape: Streaming through time, they see
http://lightscrape.blogspot.com/2015/08/streaming-through-time-they-see.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Streaming through time, they see. Tomorrow I'm back to work, and there will be much less time to take photographs. But I do have quite a lot of photographs waiting. These photographs were taken at Tahko, walking on the hill where the ski slopes are. Various things were to be found there. I have no idea what the boat was doing on top of the ski slope. Posting title is from the poem Glass-Bottom Boat. By Elizabeth Spires.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There is no happiness ...

Light Scrape: July 2015
http://lightscrape.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Window where the blue air bathes a mass of flowers. This morning I walked for 2 1/2 hours in Vaakkoi forests and swamps. I visited several lakes, and on three of them there were Gavia stellata. On the first one there were six birds, on the second three, and on the third three as well. Some of the young ones have learned to fly and look almost the same as adults, but some are still unable to fly, but they do dive. The photographs were taken on July 16th. Thursday, July 30, 2015.
