A place for thoughts and photo's! Tuesday, 10 September 2013. Cookham Gravity Grand Prix 2013. The Kaffirs again hosted the Cookham Gravity Grand Prix. As with last year we had brilliant weather and hundreds of people turned out to watch the wacky down hill race. The speed was quick this year with several of the carts clocking at least 30mph as they came through the Dunlop arch. Here are a few pictures from the day. You can see more of my pictures from the event over on my website here. Links to this post.

A place for thoughts and photo's! Monday, 8 October 2012. Multi Rotor Meet Oct 2012. A friend of mine has recently built his own multi rotor quadracopter which was designed by him and my partner. It has now evolved in to a Hexcopter enabling it to be able to carry heavier camera equipment. This was one of the first flights for one of the Hexcopters and the weight carrying capabilities were tested in the unusual fashion of attaching a couple of bricks to the bottom of it. (They had opened part of the park next to the long walk but if felt strange driving so close to the long walk). We heard a steady rumble in the sky and this signalled the start of the rest of the flyover, unlike the Tornado's the rest of the fly over happen ...

There were also Calvary events, beautiful orchestral music accompanied by cannon fire and fireworks. Here are a few pictures from the day.

A place for thoughts and photo's! Friday, 21 March 2014. Last month we headed down to Cornwall for a few days. We were lucky with the weather and had a few nice sunny days. We were staying in a lovely little cottage in St Minver and we found a beautiful little cove called St Issac which is supported by the National Trust. Here are a few pictures from our trip. Take Care. V. x. Friday, March 21, 2014. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Retro Festival - 2013.
