The sun has finally decided to shine and the weather has been glorious. That means we’ve all migrated outdoors and have started connecting with friends and neighbors again. It’s a completely different playing field up here than what we faced in the States, particularly coming out of Virginia. But, there was no way we could know the intensity or how personal this journey would be. It’s frustrating when you so deeply want to communicate truth to someone and they’re indifferent to the message. 8221; when another disappointment comes.

Turns out the staff had prepared a special hand drawn card for us, and they all signed the back. Our dessert had chocolate words drawn on the plate, congratulating us on 12 years. Thursday, June 3, 2010. We have a turtle that spent all day last Friday digging a hole and laying some eggs. I was babysitting that day, so it provided great entertainment for the kiddos. She was very intent on laying her eggs, so having me and the kids watch did not stop her at all. She is box turtle. Freckles used her back feet to dig. I counted at least 5 eggs. September 4, 2010 · 10:52 pm. Comfort Food Kinda Day. Today is rainy, cold and miserable. Yay! That means comfort food at my house. I had a hankering for some good old Long Island Baked Ziti this week, and I decided to do something about it. I had cooked for a neighbor who spent the past 4 days running back to the hospital with her 1 year old, and made ziti and some meatballs in sauce for her. I made enough for our family, but this weekend is Ribfest. So the ziti went into the fridge til tonight. : ).
