Adventures in crafting, dreaming, and life. Another morning of yard sales has come and gone! Today I found some cool stuff, including a couple of things for my upcoming craft show. The biggest item is the spice rack. It has a round base that lets it spin, with four columns of holes for spice bottles to go in. I’m going to clean it up and convert it into a rack for my handmade brooches. A new wallet for me. I love this bright red leather heart wallet, and they only wanted a quarter for it. Win! Adventures in crafting, dreaming, and life. I went for a walk by the roadside this morning, and what did I find? Some tasty free food! Here’s the morning’s haul! This pile is about 2/3 mulberries (the long ones) and 1/3 raspberries. I think it’s interesting that the plants are completely different species, yet the fruit ends up being exactly the same color! Adventures in crafting, dreaming, and life. Vintage Before and After: Beaded Fruit. I found some cool vintage fruit at the thrift store this morning! A banana, peach, orange, and lemon, made from a styrofoam form decorated with hundreds of faceted beads. The only problem was that they were filthy…they were covered in what I call “kitchen grunge” a thin coat of yellowish grease covered in a layer of dust. I knew the beads were supposed to sparkle, but they were completely dull. My shops; Handmade: PeachPod.

Sunday, March 29, 2015. Zebra and Giraffe Hats. Moment, but not a problem! I also ordered more cow print fleece and a pink zebra stripe, which should be in early this week! I'm looking for some good tiger stripe and leopard spot print as well. I have leopard spot kitty hats in my shop already, but I'm out of that exact print and haven't been able to find more.
