Sunday, January 24, 2010. 18-Month checkup and update. Time for another long-overdue post! Back in December, during Opa's visit, the girls had their 18-Month checkup. They're still doing very well and continue to push the limits of the height chart( 2' 10"), sticking on the 95% curve (surprising, I know! They're also making excellent progress towards running. Friday, December 25, 2009. The girls got many wonderful gifts. Thank you so much to everyone who sent presents! I've posted a short video (bottom) with the girls towards the end of the gift giving. Claire bonded with her Tickle Me Elmo immediately (a gift from Nana) and showered it with hugs and snuggles as soon as she saw it. Monday, December 14, 2009. We set up our little tree safely outside of baby-grasping range and the girls helped decorate it. They loved picking out and holding the ornaments, but weren't thrilled when we suggested they had to share their bright new shiny toys with the tree. Julia- we have shown Peter that exact same Nutcracker (a childhood obsession of mine) and Peter can NOT get enough of it. He has also been dancing around our living room and demanding more girl! Sad- nutcracker broken.fix!

Thursday, May 13, 2010. After a bit of an interruption, the bebe-blogging continues! A little over a month ago we packed up and made our move to Massachusetts. We made two separate moves.first to Nana's apartment ( 10 mins from Stanford), where we stayed for a few days, and then to New England with Nana and all of our stuff. Monday, July 5, 2010. Claire and Nina have thrown themselves into pretend play lately. They love wearing my shoes, dressing up, and having tea parties together. Saturday, July 3, 2010. As promised, here are some videos of the girls' 2nd birthday. We celebrated it in Haddam with family and the girls had fancy tiaras, bunches of balloons, two cakes, and lots of fun time with family. Claire's in white and Nina's in yellow in the videos. The girls enjoyed eating (and stabbing) their birthday cake and even fed some bites to each other. Opa bought the girls a bunch of balloons and they were a big hit!
