Cricket for all in the Stroud Valleys. Sunday review – Westhead’s return not enough to secure victory. July 15, 2015. Using the same wicket as saturday meant that a large number of runs were likely to be in the offing. We were then treated to a fine batting display from returning James “Wes” Westhead. We were right. ...

Cricket for all in the Stroud Valleys. Saturday Roundup – 1st run over on road, 2nds die in desert. July 15, 2015. Chalford and Charfield……Some people get them mixed up and some teams even go to the wrong ground but no mistaking the two grounds this week. Wedge took a decent side down to Sutton Benger to play our friendly rivals and were presented with the longest grassy outfield of the year plus a dry and ill-prepared wicket which was going to make for an interesting game, especially as there are no sight screens and a particularly dark hedge at one end. Tom clubs one into the undergrowth for one. With a fragile tail, it was left...
