At a loss. At a loss. At a loss for words. Don’t know what to say. Have to say something. Need to say something. My mind is like a massive, thriving coral reef. It is alive and churning in one moment, and the next, in the moment when I need most to grasp at a school of fish or brittle star or mollusk of some kind they flee into the crooked, sharp-edged solace of the reef, bury themselves under the sand or take relief inside their shells–invisible. I want to share! How can I call them? Do I sing to them?

Clove and Nag Champa exhale strong breaths into the air, smoke twirling and whirling with sound waves as Tamil Radio blasts from my speakers and I hope for the peace that is ostensibly on the way to that isle country. I am cooking dinner: an onion&apple sauteé with lemon and suga to round out pasta with basil pesto. My water is a’boil. I’d better tend to it. Unfortunately, Ive lost the name of the artist of this beautiful piece. Trust though, that it wasnt me and I will find it. I am delighted by it!
