Just trying to stay dry…. Newer posts →. Looking Back at 2014! January 4, 2015. I am currently on my second overnight shift at work and am giving myself the creeps when I am not concentrating on something. So to keep myself busy and awake I have decided to copy my friend Tricia. And do a review of 2014 entry. Without further ado – a look back at 2014:. We tore down the walls in our spare bedroom! Celebrated my brother’s 26th birthday with my family! Gained a new outlook on life. Went to Matt’s frie...

Just trying to stay dry…. August 26, 2016. Well, I am finally on summer break from school. Which means two things. One – I can update here more and two – we are renovating our bedroom. It will be a fairly similar process to when we renovated our spare room, which you can look back on in my entry Spare Room. Only this time we are adding French doors to the outdoor wall with the idea that we will eventually put a deck in the backyard. Part of the drywall pile that needed to be cleaned up. The dump didnR...

Just trying to stay dry…. Tulip Pedal and Seahawks 12k. April 20, 2015. Last year Matt did the Tulip Pedal. About a month or so ago my mom and Tricia both asked me if I wanted to run in the Seahawks 5k/12k. Run down in Renton. Since I’m preparing for the Seattle Rock n’ Roll. 1/2 marathon in June, I figured what better way to keep me motivated than to sign up for a 12k (7.5 miles) and see where I’m at 2 months before. Sean, Jennifer, Mike and myself – pinning bibs on each others backs. Until next time &#...

December 9, 2014. December 10, 2014. Before heading out to the tree farm, we stopped by Bike Farm to check out Bikecraft. Bikecraft is a small annual holiday gift fair with handmade and locally produced gifts for bike lovers. My favorite vender was Velco Gioielli. Where each of the kids picked out a new ornament to commemorate our first ride to the tree farm. My birthday is in December so I picked out a one of a kind necklace made out of bicycle chain and ornamented with topaz. Plan to be flexible. Part ...

May 21, 2015. May 21, 2015. Biking fashion might seem like a frivolous topic to some, and yet it overlays a chasm in safety philosophy that divides many in the biking community. At the heart of the divide is the question, who should bear the ultimate responsibility for the safety of people riding bicycles, should it be city planners who design the transportation infrastructure, or should it be the individuals riding their bikes? You might enjoy this cartoon by John Greenfield. To learn how to make patter...
