Saturday, December 12, 2009. Chloe tested Wednesday night and did so well. She hung on the rope for 20 seconds and knew her hand techniques and broke a board with the hammer fist! Her belt ceremony was today. 2 hours later she has her white belt. Chloe's class put on a "creative movement" dance of a butterfly. I tried to upload the video but it was too big. Thursday, January 28, 2010. Chloe's Daisy Pin Ceremony. Chloe had her first Daisy Investiture Pin Ceremony. She even memorized her Daisy promise! First picture is of Chelsea going through the box of birthday cards her classmates/friends gave her. We then celebrated a fun dinner at McDonald's playhouse on the day of her birthday. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Weekend of fun Spring Events. Although it was a little chilly, we started off our Saturday with the annual Ravenwood Park Easter Egg Hunt. You KNOW the girls loved it. The eggs were harder to find this year and they only found like 4 or 5 a piece. We then followed it by a trip to the Mall in DC for the Kite Festival. It was fun to be back in the city walking and enjoying the day. Then topped the day off with margaritas at one of our favorite mexican restaurants on the hill.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. WO&D Trail ride May 15. Trail ride with a snow cone break in the middle followed by a trip to the lake. A busy day indeed. Twilight Tattoo at Bluemont Park - rehersal. We went biking again on the WO&D trail this past weekend. While riding past one park we stumbled across the ARMY practicing for a show they were giving later in the evening. Sunday, August 1, 2010. This year seemed to be the best of all the years we've been going to VA Beach as a family. The new house in Sandbridge had a pool which was a nice way to cool off in the evenings. We even had a nice evening out sans children. Fun parade with the Thomases and Romans in Barcroft neighborhood of Arlington watching Kernel as Uncle Sam. Then a fun outing to see Lake Barcroft's fireworks with the Bennetts! Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Twilight Tattoo at Bluemont Park - rehersal. We went biking again on the WO&D trail this past weekend. While riding past one park we stumbled across the ARMY practicing for a show they were giving later in the evening. They let us bike right up to where they were and watch the rehearsal. It included a full band, silent drill team. A mock invasion with humvees, horses and armed troops. They were showing off weapons used from the revolutionary war. Twilight Tattoo at Bluemont Park.
