Charlie and Marty's Adventures on Pegasus. Sunday, November 22, 2009. Report from South Carolina. We left Solomons finally on Saturday, Nov. 14. The winds were north at 15-20 knots, gusting to 30, and seas 3-5 feet. Early fog and mist dissipated into just 50 degrees of cold. We anchored in George's Cove off Dymer Creek, north of the Rappahannock River, where local art greeted us. On Saturday Nov. 21 we had a good day! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Charlie and Marty's Adventures on Pegasus. Friday, December 16, 2011. From Coinjock, NC, to Palm Beach, FL. We docked at Coinjock, NC, on Nov. 22-23, then sailed across the Albemarle Sound on Thanksgiving Day. We went through the Alligator River swing bridge and anchored in the river as sunset fell. Solomons Island looked small in the distance as Pegasus left on the morning of Nov. 20, 2011. The next morning we went through the Great Bridge, VA, lock in the rain. Marty managed the bow lines.
