Pencil Crossings: November 2013

http://www.pencilcrossings.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Wishing you all a happy thanksgiving. May you be spending time with those who are most important to you. I have a houseful, with my in-laws and my sister and her kids. Here are some of the Thanksgiving cards I've made in years past. Everything is Stampin' Up, except the ribbon on the Happy Harvest card and the "Happy Thanksgiving" on the last 2 cards. Let me know which one(s) you like the best. Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Back in March, I offered a giveaway on my 250th post.

Pencil Crossings: January 2014

http://www.pencilcrossings.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The holidays were quiet for us. We stayed in town, and only took a few days off. The girls went to day camps most of the time, but we had a few days of Mommy Camp, too, which they loved. One day, we went to the Smithsonian American History Museum. I asked the girls which museum they wanted to see, and they decided they wanted to see the "presidents' dresses". So, off we went to the First Ladies. We also visited a " pirate ship. While I've been stitching, I don't have enough t...

Pencil Crossings: Seeing Stars

http://www.pencilcrossings.blogspot.com/2014/09/seeing-stars.html

Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Here's my latest card for the swap. The theme was "holidays", and my card is suitable for either New Year's or Independence Day. All products Stampin' Up. Seeing Stars stamps and punch. More Mustard, Night of Navy, and Real Red ink and paper. Gold embossing powder. The "celebrate" comes from a retired birthday word set. I've been remiss in posting my squares from the summer Fair and Square. Patriotic swap. Here are the squares I received from Linda. View my complete profile.

Sweet Pea Stitches: Fly away, butterfly

http://sweetpeastitching.blogspot.com/2014/07/fly-away-butterfly.html

For Sale or Trade. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Fly away, butterfly. Back to sharing some of the finished pieces I haven't blogged about yet (or framed). These two are both by Mr. SweetPea, and they're both from Dimensions kits from our early stitching years. The second piece is Butterfly Triplex. That will be so nice to finally have these hung. :). July 24, 2014 at 8:29 AM. July 24, 2014 at 8:47 AM. What lovely butterfly pieces stitched by Mr. Sweet Pea! Thanks for sharing, Jennifer! 2004 / 2005 Finishes.

Sweet Pea Stitches: SBQ for June...2012???

http://sweetpeastitching.blogspot.com/2014/07/sbq-for-june2012.html

For Sale or Trade. Monday, July 28, 2014. SBQ for June.2012? WOW has this post been sitting around for a while! Over two years. Yikes! Yeah, so now I am just randomly pulling up drafts of posts and finishing them up.) Still a good one though, and showcases some of my favorite pieces. June 2012: Do you stitch patriotic/national pieces (or maybe just pieces that represent a specific place)? NOTE: I believe this design is now OOP. I can't find it in any of the stitching shops, only on eBay. That we modified...

Sweet Pea Stitches: Need some help

http://sweetpeastitching.blogspot.com/2014/07/need-some-help.html

For Sale or Trade. Sunday, July 13, 2014. Okay stitchers, I need some help tracking down a freebie pattern that I saw a few days ago and can't seem to find again. It's a bee, possibly a queen bee (with a crown) stitched on a coffee or tea stained fabric. It was offered as a freebie, I think as part of a monthly series but I cannot for the life of me recall the name of the designer or any of the other charts in the series. Does this sound the least bit familiar to anyone? It's Litha: Summer Solstice.

K: the real life adventures: very Manhattan

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/very-manhattan.html

K: the real life adventures. Tuesday I worked out of the NYC office. I worked on my HoE biscornu on the train and got thiiiiis close to finishing the leaves. Work was productive. Lunch was better. I found out a new-to-me yarn store called School Products. It just so happens to be on my route to work. Across from my favorite bead store. How did I miss this place, you ask? It's in an office-type setup on the 3rd floor of a building. Go figure. Have been a drug thing. Right? Speaking of my walk to work, I t...

K: the real life adventures: Happy (belated) Purim!

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/happy-belated-purim.html

K: the real life adventures. Purim is one of my favorite holidays, hands down. This year's was ridiculously crazy, but it's still a love-love relationship. Clever, I just found cute black pleather-y baskets at Joann's that will be perfect pen holders for people's desks. Wednesday night I ran out to Costco and found some chocolate and wafer bars, plus my mom picked up some grape juice and hamantashen (=a special triangular Purim cookie). And you shouldn't encourage them. Seats in the balcony to hear them ...

K: the real life adventures: Happy Chanukah!

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2007/12/happy-chanukah.html

K: the real life adventures. My mom's parents are staying over tonight, so we all lit candles together. This is my menorah. Singing Ma'oz Tsur after candle lighting with Sky. She's either listening intently or attempting to sniff out my last meal from my breath, it's hard to tell. Sky enjoying her Chanukah present. My mom's stepladder is falling apart so I got her a new one. It's not a real Chanukah present, but presenting it as such means she'll have. I think it's for the greater good in this case.

K: the real life adventures: Thank goodness for House

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/thank-goodness-for-house.html

K: the real life adventures. Thank goodness for House. So in the end, Sky's not coming to work tomorrow. Grandma E has been in the hospital this week, and this evening took a major turn for the worse. She has an infection or bug and that causes trouble breathing. So they need to give the infection/bug a beat down and put her on a ventilator (which apparently has some risks). Infection = Septic Shock = Organ Failures = Dead. Sky will be visiting work another day. I'm sorry to hear it. My thoughts are ...

K: the real life adventures: Don't laugh...

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/dont-laugh.html

K: the real life adventures. Since you asked Michele. the shoe count for this wedding is now up to 7 pairs. So to recap, Monday I ran to DSW in a "I have no shoes for this wedding! Panic). I bought 4 pairs, tried them on for my mom and brother, and realized I had two left feet. Three pairs went back, 1 pair was swapped for 1 right and 1 left shoe, and then we decided that they were no good for the wedding but I'm keeping them for work. Total shoe count: 5 pairs. Of prepwork this week. Anyways, gotta go g...

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/alchemy.html

K: the real life adventures. Tonight I turned this:. Like I said, alchemy. I have like 8 million things to do this week, so I don't have much time to post about the Shabbaton I went on, or the knitting I've been doing, or my beading, or the shower, or anything else. Hopefully I'll come back to that list later in the week and fill it out some more. Til then, have a good one! You are so very talented. Love the colors. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). K: the real life adventures: The wedding recap

http://kthereallifeadventures.blogspot.com/2008/03/wedding-recap.html

K: the real life adventures. Omg, this weekend and D's wedding were amazing. The weekend started off Friday night with the Aufruf. I was supposed to work from home Friday so I could get ready. Then I was supposed to leave at noon to work from home. Then I ended up leaving at 2:30, stopping for hoisery and even more shoes at Macy*s, and arriving home around 3. But that's typical Friday nutiness, so it was cool. It's one of my favorite. Restaurants, probably b/c they make the BEST rice. Ever. Groomsmen gav...

Pencil Cricket

Sunday, 24 August 2014. Oh captain, my captain. So at last, after four months, my team won a game. And what a game. A 136 partnership for the 9th wicket, and the final wicket falling with almost certainly 3 balls of the match left. If you don't believe me, here's the scorecard. However, there's one name you won't see on that scorecard - MINE. Our fearful trip is done;. The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won;. The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,. I watched t...
