A Wayward Penguin: March 2013
http://awaywardpenguin.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Carol Harding's tumour blog. Thursday, 21 March 2013. Lisa Lynch, author, editor, blogger and cancer bitch, died a couple of days ago. I never knew her. Never had a conversation and a giggle with her, or sent her an e-mail, or commented on her website, or had any contact at all. All I did was lurk in her blog, and read her posts avidly. Even then I was a Johnny-come-lately: I only started reading Alright Tit. Her blog wasn't about cancer: it was about life. I never knew her. But I'll miss her. It went on...

A Wayward Penguin: A Christmas Message
http://awaywardpenguin.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-message.html
Carol Harding's tumour blog. Saturday, 15 December 2012. Christmas Swedish Style with St Lucia. The ceremony of Saint Lucia is an important part of the Christmas celebrations in Sweden. This description of the traditional activities and their meaning comes from Susan Florries (florries.wordpress.com). I was going to write something myself, but as I couldn't improve on Susan's enthusiasm and warmth, I have just quoted her words. Thank you Susan. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Wayward Penguin: November 2012
http://awaywardpenguin.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Carol Harding's tumour blog. Friday, 9 November 2012. I've been musing a bit about life and death, luck and fate. I'm so lucky to have lived my whole life so far in a time of peace. All the warfare I have seen has been remote, over there, on foreign soil. During my lifetime, these fifty years or so of extended calm, medicine and surgery and the organisation of healthcare have advanced to the point where my tumour could be removed and my life saved, with relative ease. The first is by Wing Commander Denni...

A Wayward Penguin: Checkup, Jan 2015
http://awaywardpenguin.blogspot.com/2015/03/checkup-jan-2015.html
Carol Harding's tumour blog. Saturday, 14 March 2015. Checkup, Jan 2015. My last checkup was in January and I'm still fine. Check-ups are every 6 months at the moment, and are always a bit nerve wracking, although I feel OK and have no health worries and expect all to be well. All my 2012 fears and worries are back in my head. Carol's X-ray: the clips are clear. But for now, I'm well, and very glad to be alive. And spring is here! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Alright Tit by Lisa Lynch.
