Pennine Spring Music is an annual Festival of recitals, rehearsals and performances, held every Spring Bank Holiday week in the beautiful mediæval hilltop village of Heptonstall. This year we are pleased to welcome Ruth Burbidge who will be running a three-day Baroque Chamber Music course, leading to a performance as part of the Thursday concert. Originally set up by John Bolwell, who had been involved in studying these systems since 1973. It now involves many people learning and teaching within these areas, in a loose knit association and with a spirit of self-exploration. We encourage participation in these arts in a multi-disciplined way, without strict adherence to any one system or style.
