Knitting Confidential: May 2007
http://knittingconfidential.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
A man's journey into the knitting world. Thursday, May 31, 2007. I'm back to nothing on the needles for my practice sock. Somehow I knit together stitches on separate dpns that shouldn't have been knit together. (I don't know how to describe it other than to say it was really, really wrong.) So, rrrrrrrrrrip. OK sock knitters, how should I be casting on? Does it sound like I'm doing the long-tail cast on properly? The cast on row may undo my efforts to attempt sock knitting. Links to this post. Now I hav...

All Yarn, All the Time: March 2006
http://mrsjulieg.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
All Yarn, All the Time. Monday, March 20, 2006. Clean dog and blue yarn. The blue yarn that I dyed Thursday night is. My mom's friend Pat is a lovely woman who was blessed with 3 boys. Her boys have only given her grandbaby boys - until now! In January she got baby Sophie, yea for Pat! I'm sending mom this little set for the baby that I made a while back out of Sugar and Cream cotton. How cute are baby clothes? Smells a whole lot better, too. Posted by Julie at 1:29 PM. Links to this post. Ok, I'm really...

Knitting Confidential: October 2006
http://knittingconfidential.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
A man's journey into the knitting world. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Discounting time lost to waiting for minor repairs, I knitted my first scarf. In about a week. At the rate I'm progressing on my second scarf, it'll be done faster than that. The zone exists for knitting too. I got in it on Thursday and Friday. I knitted a fair amount on Thursday night, but it was nothing compared to Friday morning. My second scarf was already two feet long! I couldn't find a great link describing it- you'll have to look...

Knitting Confidential: March 2007
http://knittingconfidential.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
A man's journey into the knitting world. Saturday, March 31, 2007. I also realize that if I do cut the FO, I need to cut all the way through it. I don't know if I have the heart to do that. It was hard enough puncturing the holder with the US 11s and feeling as though I was ruining my work. The good news is that I know what I'm doing, sort of. I suppose I just need to have more confidence in myself. On that note, Donna posted something on her blog. Since I couldn't find any patterns I liked for a cat mat...

Knitting Confidential: February 2007
http://knittingconfidential.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
A man's journey into the knitting world. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Picking up and packing up. Somebody hold a parade. I figured out how to pick up a dropped stitch. Sent me The Knitting Answer Book. And it has already proven its worth. I don't know that the illustration is better than anything else I've seen, but the description is clear and specific. I had a light bulb moment and was able to fix the mistake without much fuss. I have two bedrooms, one of which became the place where I shift the piles...

All Yarn, All the Time. Sunday, April 30, 2006. Last post of April. Seems like this month went by in a flash. We only have 3 more soccer games of the season. There's just a little over a month left of school. And it's time to move on to a new color in Project Spectrum. To wrap up the gorgeous month of yellow and orange, I leave with you a few images:. The orange Henry's Attic Irish lace. Looking forward to another exciting month of color - and it is by far my Favorite Color Ever - GREEN. I keep trying to...
