Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. These words of Jesus have become popular within Christendom as an emotional plea to draw unbelievers into the Kingdom of Christ. This idea places a shivering cold Jesus standing outside the door of an unbeliever’s heart begging to let Him in, but is this what Jesus is intending to communicate?
