I have a nearly 4-month old baby who is apparently constipated. He hasn't pooped in 7 days. I took him to the doctor today and she pronounced him fine. She sent us home with instructions to give him an ounce of prune juice diluted with 1 ounce of water twice daily until he poops if he hasn't done so by Saturday. Quick question about constipation.

He does eat some solid foods, but I don't think he's really eating enough to nourish him. He seems to think of solid food as a game and nursing as his nourishment. So I'm wondering how to get him to start viewing solids as his primary food source and nursing as the top-off. Is there ANYTHING I can do to discourage this?

Today is the day! Sep 29th, 2009 at 9:52 AM. We are scheduled to relaunch today. We won't be doing the traditional week's downtime, since our new Tech fellow doesn't need it. I don't expect a bump-free launch (we're implementing some exciting new features this year! But it'll be nice to be able to do things in a new way! Keep an eye on the front page for new developments.
