Thursday, 12 July 2012. We're having a little club night for in the woods festival. Come along, win tickets! We're making some cool things for the night, including a giant pom pom tree. Pom poms are in progress. Exciting stuff. I managed to salvage these from the event to take some proper photos before they were destined for the recycling. It's all happening Chapel. Anyway, Finders Keepers. Paper shapes, its all happening. Garden Sun = die dye. I have joined and become obsessed with Pinterest! Follow me ...

Bronwyn Opland: ITW monsters

Tuesday, 4 September 2012. The monsters went down well, but poor Dave had an accident and lost not only his teeth, but his gums and eyelids as well. I guess this is the last stop for these guys. Tuesday, 4 September 2012. In the Woods warm up party. The ITW warm up party went well! I didn't get many good pictures unfortunately (the usual result of too much hard work, too little sleep and a few drinks), but nevermind! The monster heads went down a treat, people were putting them on and dancing around as intended. I also made a whole load of paper masks for people to take with them. Art director Anna Mojab. Bronwyn Opland: In the Woods - the Laurel Lounge
http://bronwynopland.blogspot.com/2012/09/in-woods-laurel-lounge.html
Tuesday, 4 September 2012. In the Woods - the Laurel Lounge. Marina and I also decorated the Laurel Lounge, which was the second stage set inside a little wood of laurel trees that made a lovely, if slightly too dark, canopy over the stage. We couldn't interfere with people's view of the stage, so we decided to drape fabric strips in the trees by the entrance, and to tie ribbons of fabric to trees inside the space. Bronwyn Opland: August 2011
http://bronwynopland.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 26 August 2011. Some lovely old posters and things from the Ellis Island museum. Why can't things look this nice anymore? We took a trip to Ellis island, which used to be where all immigrants were held while the authorities decided whether they would be let into New York or sent home. It's worth a visit, it's very moving to think of what those people had to go through. And coming from a family that has moved around for the last 4 generations, it means a lot to me too. Thursday, 18 August 2011.

Bronwyn Opland: Making Monsters
http://bronwynopland.blogspot.com/2012/09/making-monsters_4.html
Tuesday, 4 September 2012. I've been in my friend Robin's studio the last few days making scary monster heads for the warm up party for In the Woods festival with Robin and Marina. The idea is that they'll be suspended from the ceiling and people can put them on and dance about. Hopefully. Either that or people will be a bit freaked out and leave them well alone. We'll see.
