No Marsupial Equivalent: December 2011
http://nomarsupialequivalent.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. Gender is Only Partly Cultural. I do not discount the cultural components of gender, but I do posit that there is more to gender than what is learned. Gender permeates us as physical as well as spiritual beings, from the molecular level to the most general physical aspects of our bodies, including brain structure. I don't know for sure how that passion will play into my current research. I have a lot of thinking to do and a lot more research. Links to this post.

No Marsupial Equivalent: November 2011
http://nomarsupialequivalent.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 27, 2011. Here's a little update about my life as of. ummm. I mean to post in this blog more. I have not forgotten you! I'm really struggling with my relationship to Facebook right now, and I think I need to rely on it a little less for connections to people. I'm just going to start referring people here from there and doing most of my posting here for a while and see how I feel about that. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, September 19, 2014. 30 Day Transgender Challenge: Day 6 - In the Midst of Denial, There's Still the Truth. Q: Who was the first person you told about being trans? We talked over the phone when I told her I wasn't coming back and she said outright, finally, that she thought I had gender issues, and asked if I wanted to come back and start talking about them. I said yes, but I never did go back to her. It was just too much for me to deal with. Links to this post. Labels: 30 Day Transgender Challenge.

Saturday, September 13, 2014. 30 Day Transgender Challenge: Day Four - Oh, Family. Oh, Love. Q: How did your family take it when you came out? If you are not out, why aren't you? That's hard to answer. I think on some levels we are, though we have both been through a lot of life since we both lived in the same town as kids and she was my favorite person in the entire world. I just can't help but look forward to seeing her, no matter how anxious I am about it. Labels: 30 Day Transgender Challenge. I am a ...

Monday, October 28, 2013. Lou Reed was a bitch. He was a truth teller and he didn't give a good god damn what anybody thought. In my mind, he was the epitome of a zenchishiki. No Marsupial Equivalent: 30 Day Transgender Challenge: Day Three -- Determination
http://nomarsupialequivalent.blogspot.com/2014/09/30-day-transgender-challenge-day-three.html
Friday, September 12, 2014. 30 Day Transgender Challenge: Day Three - Determination. Q: Have I ever been outed? I feel like I out myself every day just by how I look and how I sound, but. As for anyone "blowing my cover," I have to say that in general, my friends have been supportive and considerate. Also, as time goes on, my concerns about being read and/or being misgendered lessen slowly. As humiliating as it was, as done as I was with taking crap for being who I am, I just sat there. We got to Cen...

No Marsupial Equivalent: February 2012
http://nomarsupialequivalent.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 19, 2012. So, I've been doing some singing. I had worked out a song called "Woe". That has some clever lines and a couple of nice chord changes and therefore some nice melodic movement. I'm trying to find a feminine voice, and this song as I've arranged it is a nice frame to hang the best that I can currently do from. I next learned an á capella. Song from Judy Collins's singing - "The Hills of Shiloh". I am full of admiration for Dolly as a songwriter and singer and I am just on the ver...

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. It's been awhile since I posted a vlog. This is a general update. It's not a complete update, but it's a little sump'n to show what's been happening w/me until the next time I post. I won't promise, but I want to do a live performance of a new song sometime soon. That might be my next video. Links to this post. Sunday, October 2, 2011. 1 "If I don't like something, just don't play it around me! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
