Tips | Independent Pattern Company Alliance
http://www.patterncompanies.com/tips.htm
Tips from the Designers. Visit each designers individual website for more sewing insights! How many times have you sewn a collar or placket in the traditional manner, right sides together, flip to the inside, pin the living daylights out of the un-sewn edge, and topstitch from the right side, only to have MAJOR portions of it not caught by the topstitching? Big pain in the patootie! Now you have to go back and either re-stitch it, or fix those gaps by hand! I now sew everything backwards! Kathleen learne...

Thursday, July 19, 2012. 2013 Sewing and Stitchery Expo. You know how amused I am by a good "shoe shot". So - any guesses about who this foot belongs to? Yes - that's me in the sensible sandal. I was there for a meeting with Rhonda Pierce of Schmetz Needles - we had to talk about the new Schmetz Sew-cial Blogger Bootcamp. And right there in the lobby - we ran into Emma Seabrook! She always finds the most beautiful knits.

There was an error in this gadget. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Tackling the negroni shirt from Colette patterns. Tackeled the Negroni shirt pattern by Colette patterns. Great details like the narrower collar and cuffs for a younger, fresher look. Also a slightly tailored fit yet without the use of darts or yoke. Some issues you may have to consider if you take on this man's shirt. Overall review: not bad. A general query to all pattern making companies . why do we need a full 5/8" seam allowance? Check out th...

Monday, March 26, 2012. Rhonda Pierce from Schmetz Needles did an AMAZING JOB as our first official "Facebook Hostess".
