I grew up on the North Shore in Auckland, New Zealand. I was very active in Hiking and Camping throughout my teenage years. Through my involvement with Scouts, I achieved the Queen’s Scout Award and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Sunday February 26 1989. An evening of fun at the beach changed my life forever, I fell of a diving pontoon at the beach and my head took the full impact of my body on the ocean floor, subsequently I broke my neck at C5/6 leaving me paralysed with Tetraplegia.

I began shooting in 2005 after a Have a Go day, put on by Parafed Canterbury. My results on the day weren’t too bad, so I joined the Parafed Canterbury Shooting Club. As time passed, my shooting got better, so I decided to step up my involvement and purchased my own rifle and shooting equipment and started on my journey to represent Canterbury and New Zealand at a representative level.
