The Indecisive Expat: December 2010
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Things Argentines Like: PDA. As I've written about before, Argentines loooove them some PDA. Its very common to see a couple making out on the street, or even in a restaurant (that one was pretty shocking for me- sitting down at a restaurant and seeing the couple at the table next to you just goin at it). Who doesn't like to hear that someone loves them? Labels: things argentines like. Yesterday I tried to go s...

The Indecisive Expat: September 2010
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Thursday, September 30, 2010. But really Paula. deep-fried butter balls? I don't know if you've heard but America is suffering from an obesity epidemic. You just took your show from bubbly Southern to semi-homicidal. Shame, shame Paula. Shame, shame. Crabby on the Collectivo. I’m calling it “Crabby on the collectivo” (collectivo is the word we use here for “public bus”). It’s actually quite nice. I was in a good mood because it was gorgeo...

The Indecisive Expat: Disorientation
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2011/03/disorientation.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Thursday, March 31, 2011. For those of you who don't know, I have a new job! I'm the student coordinator for a group of 74 California kids who are studying abroad here in Buenos Aires. The job only lasts until May, so I've kept a lot of my classes and am still doing translating work on the side. Basically, I work an insane amount (which is why I haven't been able to spend so much time blogging). Also, can I ask them to do that in English?

The Indecisive Expat: June 2010
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Sunday, June 27, 2010. The End of Freshman Year. Is "home" the place where you're from, or the place where you live? How long do you have to live in a place before it becomes your "home" and your old home becomes the place you used to live? Don't get me wrong, I love my life here, and wouldn't trade it for anything. But, like many expats, I feel like I have the Clash song "Should I Stay or Should I Go" on constant repeat in my head. It - ...

The Indecisive Expat: October 2010
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Thursday, October 28, 2010. So, Tuesday, after a particularly difficult day, I came home and decided that THAT was what I was going to eat for dinner. Lucky for me, I happened to have a professional chef coming to dinner, who helped make my dream a reality. We substituted Roquefort cheese for gorgonzola (because Roquefort is randomly a staple of Argentine cooking, and thus much much cheaper than gorgonzola). We'll see how long I last.

The Indecisive Expat: August 2010
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Monday, August 23, 2010. I ask, desperately trying not to laugh. "They gave me the shot in the butt", he whimpers. At this point I completely lose it and start laughing uncontrollably (I know, I'm a terrible girlfriend). I was just so surprised! I thought that only happened in the movies. do we still give people shots in the butt? The time my entire bathroom fell apart. Sunday, August 15, 2010. So lately I've been trying to take more adva...

The Indecisive Expat: Bariloche
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2011/03/bariloche.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. The thing that makes me slightly uncomfortable about Bariloche is its history- the town was founded by former Nazis who came to Argentina in an attempt to escape punishment for their crimes. Is it wrong to support the decedents of former Nazis by buying their delicious chocolates? March 9, 2011 at 7:28 AM. March 9, 2011 at 11:39 AM. Hahaha thanks for the clarification! The Indecisive Expat: June 2012
http://indecisiveexpat.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
The adventures of an American girl in Argentina.and then Colombia. Thursday, June 21, 2012. Hi everyone (aka the 4 people who read this blog)! Its been a year (or maybe two? Since I've written on this blog, but I figured new country, new posts. Sure we complained about expat life and how hard it could be at times, but we had become masters at dealing with it. I had even found a way to wire my savings to my US checking account for free! We had it all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Other people I follow.
