Hey guys, as my second quarter draws to a close I thought I’d spend a few minutes of my downtime to write a few of my thoughts on how my formal post-bacc has been going so far. Quarter 2 of 4 ends at the end of June 24 which is a little over two weeks from today. At that point I will have completed a full year worth of biology and chemistry and will be 50% complete with the pre-reqs for med school.

This is the tragic timeline of the demise hands/life. Between April and June 4th. I hold my hands in flexion and then extension for 30 seconds. No results. Then he has me do it fast, holding for 1-2 seconds each time. Immediately, the tingly/numb feeling is in my fingers on my right hand. (Pinky and thumb excluded.) I live in Detroit and believe it can come back. In fact, it's already on its way. I play piano. Er, played. Thoracic outlet syndrome is a condition I will live with for the rest of my life and my hands are much weaker than they used to be, so that limits my time on the piano. I believe the key to sanity is having your own washer and dryer in your apartment. And not having to pay in coins and sharing with 300 people. I am TB positive but my chest x-ray says I'm good to go!
