Sunday, 18 November 2012. TL;DR I wrote a Grunt task. To live compile CoffeeScript for local development. Somewhat inspired by my colleague Phil’s. I’ve written a Grunt. Plugin to make it easy to start writing any JavaScript project in CoffeeScript. It’s a simple static web server with a twist request a .js file and it will be returned if it exists. If it doesn’t exist then the server will try and find a .coffee version of the file and return the compiled output if it can. Npm install -g grunt.

Phil Nash on the Internet, Web Standards and Accessibility. Apr 14, 2008. It's nice to know that life has a knack of knowing when to take you down a notch. Sure, I got a new job. That's just around the corner, traffic here is at the best it's been and my rugby team were playing for the league title at the weekend, what could possibly go wrong? Either way, it looks like my short walk to work has become even shorter as working from home outweighs the long journey on crutches. Commuting - Not A Way Of Life.
