Philosopher Mouse

Wednesday, August 19, 2015. A fond farewell to a very dear tent. My tent, it is sad to say, must go. At least, the sides are going. SO, this is it's last few days as a tent. In case I forget, or one of you who reads this hasn't heard this story, this is a brief history of why I sleep in a tent, and how it came to be here:. Well, Dad said, "You should try out something a little cheaper before buying a tiny house." So, I bought a tent for $350 and built a wooden platform for it, with posts in the ground.

Philosopher Mouse: Dear blog

http://www.philosophermouse.blogspot.com/2015/07/dear-blog.html

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I have been thinking about you a lot recently. Even though I have not seen you in a while, the things I want to say to you are always on my mind. Maybe sometime soon I will write some more to you. I want to rant about alien invasions, individuality, zombie apocalypses, heaven(s), and what I ate for lunch. Until that happy time, I remain, yours sincerely,. July 25, 2015 at 9:30 PM. Hope you get some down time soon! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Philosopher Mouse: April 2015

http://www.philosophermouse.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The Institution of the Church. Long time no see. Well, not you Jessika. I talked to you just now, and we had/are having a lovely discussion about this topic. We didn't quite agree on all of it, but we did agree on a few things, including the fact the jumping to conclusions from a small bit of evidence is a bad idea. If you see me doing it, call me on it. Maybe But in the relationship based group, would you feel like a victim if Tom was a brat? Well, they are still people, and the...

Philosopher Mouse: What I have been working on

http://www.philosophermouse.blogspot.com/2015/06/what-i-have-been-working-on.html

Tuesday, June 9, 2015. What I have been working on. It has been a bit, but there are some good reasons for it. First of all, we went to Mother Earth News Fair with our wood-fired forges ( http:/ whitloxhomestead.com/. And that was a lot of fun. Cori blacksmithed all day every day. I went through the fair, and Becca bought chicks. If you have any interest in homesteading etc. you should check out Mother Earth News and their fairs! This accumulator is like ours, but I found the pic on the internet. Awesome...

Philosopher Mouse: Puzzles

http://www.philosophermouse.blogspot.com/2015/06/puzzles.html

Monday, June 1, 2015. I like doing puzzles. Here are a few of my favorites:. Physical puzzles, like the Gordian knot above. I also like the Rubik's cube, but I don't know how to do the last layer. Computer games, like Myst, Riven, Uru, Portal, Nancy Drew, all the ones with puzzles. The Myst series is by far my favorite. You should try them! Puzzles on paper, like Sudoku, logic grid puzzles, and (a new favorite) nonograms. You should try a nonogram out here. June 1, 2015 at 2:12 PM. June 1, 2015 at 2:13 PM.

The Life and Times of Emily C. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Found a poem I wish to share with. Ie, I did not write it). Let me know what you think :). I do not want to smile. It's just the way I am. But if you let me be a while. I will smile again. I do not wish to carry. A burden that is not mine. But not long shall I tarry. Ere once more I help with thine. I do not want for company. I can be lonely on my own. But my hopes, though dim, are many. And I shall not stay long alone. I do not wish to want for.

Maybe I will tell you after all. But - we wear our masks for a reason,. And I worked so hard to make mine,. It's such a pretty mask.

The Life and Times of Emily C. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to talk about bucket lists. A number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime. To maintain and actively attempt to fulfill items on a bucket list. Destroying New Zealand's ecosystem. Yes, this is really a thing, and frankly it sounds like a worthy cause. Forget Sauron. WE MUST SAVE THE SHIRE FROM THE OPOSSUMS.). The Philosopher Mom

One truth: that the mind is below truth, not above it, and is bound, not to descant upon it, but to venerate it; that truth and falsehood are set before us for the trial of our hearts." Bl. John Henry Newman. Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Oh, blawg: A mourning. So, the Philosopher Mom has been quiet. And will probably continue in quiet in the months to come. I hope to return to regular writing here one day- it really is rest and recovery time. Perhaps a Lenten discipline? Along with the Lenten reading.

Pursuit of Quality in Learning

Pursuit of Quality in Learning. I am dedicating this blog to my thoughts on the pursuit of quality in learning as well as other random higher level thoughts that occupy my mind. Monday, March 12, 2012. Failing as a Teacher. What does it mean to fail as a teacher? The caveat is that this takes extra time and effort on the teacher's part. So we can sum up the failure of teaching to not only using ineffective methods, but also being adverse to trying new ways and learning new things on the teacher's part.
