http://www.sweetdreamsbysarah.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2014. I was so excited to finish up this Halloween wallhanging, that I completely forgot to post the finished product! It's just a simple Swoon block, but with the Halloween theme, I thought that some cobweb quilting would be the perfect touch! Plus, there's a little friendly spider hanging out up there! Monday, December 29, 2014. The Grand Illusion Mystery by Bonnie Hunter is moving right along! With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I got way. Thursday, December 25, 2014.

Creative Quilting: October 2013
http://creativequiltingblog.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 7, 2013. Check Out This Haul! Hop and I'm just now pulling it all out of the bags. I think I did okay. Now on to the washing and ironing phase. YUCK! I don't know why I ever started doing this task but how do I stop? Then I would have pieces that were washed and pieces that weren't. Wouldn't the Quilt Police take all of my beloved fabric away if they found it in such a state? I did have a GREAT time with the gals but it's a good thing this only happens once a year! Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Quilting: September 2012
http://creativequiltingblog.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 20, 2012. The husband and I will be attending a wedding this weekend. The young couple is mid to late 20’s. We’ve known the groom since his first year of college. They both have their professional careers well under way and are now ready to build the personal part of their lives. Is to be held at the Biltmore in. I’ve personally never been there but I envision it as being pretty fluffy. They’ve built a website to keep family and friends up to date of all the wedding goings on. Being o...

Sweet Dreams by Sarah: May 2015
http://www.sweetdreamsbysarah.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 24, 2015. Get in the groove. It's been a heck of a slump for me. This happens every once in a while - not just to me, I know lots of quilty friends who hit the slump, and just have to take a couple of months off. That's where I've been lately, and I just haven't had the energy to do much of anything. I have a couple of projects that were time sensitive, that I finally got finished up this weekend. I spent nearly all day today in my sewing studio - and it felt sooooooooooo. Black friday sew in.

Sweet Dreams by Sarah: In knots
http://www.sweetdreamsbysarah.com/2015/03/in-knots.html
Sunday, March 22, 2015. This is the one that derailed me! Last Christmas, I made this snazzy wall hanging:. And then decided that, since I put nails in the wall for the rod, I may as well change it out seasonally. I promptly whipped up this Valentine's Day one:. And then started up one for St. Pat's Day. And then got stuck. It's not the quilt's fault. The pattern itself worked up beautifully. Without further ado, my Celtic knot wall hanging! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sweet Dreams by Sarah: Hoo boy.

Saturday, March 21, 2015. It's been a busy few months! Between work, and TONS of spring cleaning and house maintenance stuff. It seems like I never get enough time in front of my sewing machine, and certainly not enough to get blog posts out! I have managed to get a few things knocked out. This pincushion for a swap at our guild meeting in February:. Took a while to get properly inspired for the pin cushion swap, but it's done! A photo posted by Sarah Connolly (@sweetdreamsbysarah) on. Oh, and did you no...

Yellow Bug Quilts - Modern quilting made easy.

Saturday, March 15, 2014. I made this quilt a couple of weeks ago for Sara. It made me happy to be sewing again and it has my mind racing with ideas I want to try. Back To Real Life. Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Some of the best moments this month were watching Paul in the ocean. I know when he comes in after a few hours in the surf, his mind will be calm, he will feel centered and his eyes will look young again. Plus, it’s just fun to watch him surf. He looks so great out there! I feel whole again. Interest...

On that yes . . . Monday, July 7, 2014. One of the many fascinating, creative people I met at Alt this year, is named Tammy. She is from Iowa but currently lives in Australia working as a designer for a bank. She gave me her beautiful card which she had made at an SLC letterpress company on the Monday before Alt. I didn’t understand the reference. She told me it came from a poem by Walter Stevens and recited to me the fist two lines. It is one of those things that I will be mulling over for a long time.

Fire-Breathing Dragons, Yoga Pants and Agency. Wednesday, December 24, 2014. 2014 was a good year for me. It was an emotional year but a good year. It started out with the highest of highs when Paul came home, the memory of which still makes me giddy. 2014 also brought me the lowest of lows as I grieved with my closest childhood friend. Fear is a liar. As I look forward to 2015, I see challenges and celebrations; I see happy times and without a doubt, some uncomfortable growth. I have always loved the id...

Bauhaus Quilt Expanded –

Friday, June 26, 2015. This quilt is one of my favorites. It combines bright colors, simplicity and structure perfectly for my taste. Although I made this one using traditional primary colors it could easily be made using any fabrics you like. I would love to make one with big blocks of Kaffe Fassett or Amy Butler fabrics! The construction of this quilt is simple too and the top sews up quickly, so cut your fabric pieces and let’s get started. I broke the blocks up into 3 main blocks. I think the sizes f...
