Alabama Hills Adventure Ride. The plan was to ride the scenic Boulder Alley trail and then visit Hogback Creek trail, which crosses Boulder Alley. Both trails had some technical sections and were a joy to ride. Hogback Creek trail was a pure single track and had more technical sections than Boulder Alley. As usual, Randsburg was buzzing with bikers of all creeds and breeds! They came by the bundles; dirtbikers, quad and atv crowds, Harley and chopper crowds, and even the scooter crowd showed up! There was a special gathering of a Honda C-90 scooter group in town. Don't you dare call it a scooter to their face though! Randsburg was a biker's Wonderland! Above; dirtbikes and ATV's were all over the place, by noon; you'll be pressed to find a parking spot!

August 7th, 2005. I decided to revisit my favorite scenic trails on the Alabama Hills by Lone Pine, Ca. This area is known for its rugged beauty and remarkable scenary into the highest peaks of the Eastern Sierra Nevada. A quick pit stop and breakfast at this cafe in Olancha by HWY 395. The drive to Lone Pine was 4.5 hours from Orange County. I decided to use the Terra Flex rear tire for the terrain at the hills, and used a KTM MXC 3.7 Gallon tank for the ride.
