Art Photography: September 2011
http://photographyselina.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 27 September 2011. I discovered last year that the Tate Britain has its entire collection online! That's amazing. ( link here. There is just so much art online now, it means that even people in remote parts of the world (I don't actually think Australia is remote, even though it does feel that way occasionally) can view excellent art. Virtual tours such as the fantastic google art project. Posted by Selina Wallace. Monday, 26 September 2011. Exercise 16: Exploring function. revisted. Firstly, th...
Art Photography: May 2012

Tuesday, 8 May 2012. Formal Assessment - People and Place. Well I received my formal notification of my results for People and Place 1 last night. I was very pleased to see I have passed with a Class 1 again, the same as for The Art of Photography. I didn't think I'd done quite as well as TAOP, so I was pleased that the assessors disagreed with me! I also appreciated the comments, one of which reads " Continuing to develop your personal style and take innovative risks will further strengthen your work.
Art Photography: June 2010
http://photographyselina.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 June 2010. One portrait a day. OK, I have decided to step right out of my comfort zone and have challenged myself to a new project. I am still working on finishing up the last few bits of The Art of Photography, and am also working on People and Places, but personal projects have been lacking lately (apart from photographing my son which gets a lot of time dedicated to it! I am inspired by loads of female self-portraiture artists. particularly Francesca Woodman. Posted by Selina Wallace.

Tuesday, 15 February 2011. Exercise 16: Exploring Function. The task of this project was to start looking at spaces/rooms/buildings with a view to their use. How will a person/people use this space, what is the purpose of the room? I chose to photograph the yoga studio where I studied in Edinburgh(see my previous post. Posted by Selina Wallace. Study of a Yoga Studio. For 'People and Place' I went to photograph at the Yoga Studio I studied at in Edinburgh, called 'The Yoga Room' (link here. To look at ph...

Altar of D200 worship: September 2012
http://chunkyd200.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Altar of D200 worship. In the dark recesses of a small surburban house, somewhere in our nation's Capital, lurks an unseeming figure STILL kowtowing to the might of a D200. Sunday, September 23, 2012. A fantastic taste of a south coast summer ahead. I went Broulee Beach with some work buddies for the day to get out of already beautiful Canberra, only to be greeted by 27 degrees and cool water. Some of the gang rode on bikes from Canberra, over 100kms the previous day. Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Markins...

40: Using a meter | fotothingy
https://fotothingy.wordpress.com/2010/01/17/40-using-a-meter
Project 38: measuring the intensity of light. Project 42: Judging colour temperature. 40: Using a meter. The purpose of this project was to use the camera as a meter rather than letting it control exposure. Still, I’m determined to do all the projects I can physically manage, to glean as much practice and as many insights from the course as possible. I enjoyed searching out light/dark images, where the meter readings would be inadequate. Below are results of that exercise. This was the camera’s aut...

40: Using a meter. Project 38: measuring the intensity of light. Last Saturday I grabbed the double opportunity provided by the sunny weather and my new years hangover (i’d cancelled all other plans) and took an hourly light reading over the course of Saturday, 2 Jan. The readings at 11.30 and 12.30 were off due to some high clouds, but amazingly it was sunny on Sunday too, so I was able to grab the readings for the missed hours then. Feed for this Entry.
