Welcome to the Carverzone. This is our very first attempt at a website. We hope to use it to keep in touch with our friends and family. We also hope to have this be an educational tool for our kids. Our most recent memory is of " Grandma Mary ", who is Mary's Grandmother. She - at the very full life age of 92 - went to be with the Lord on Jan 25th, 2009. Grandma Mary was a wonderful and inspirational lady, whom we will all miss. We" includes 8 children, 21 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. the lake zone

A few years ago, (10 now to be exact), the Carvers undertook an adventure in lake living. Our goal was to have a place to relax and play - for us, our friends, and our family. The place has provided that, and much work as well. We have had many many get togethers over the years now, with lots of fond memories being forged. One of the our greatest moments revolves around "the sumo" tube, and Kent Waide . which we caught on video, and set to the tune of "the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald".

Our two closest sets of family friends are the Stanfields (on the left), and the Waides (on the right). As we were looking for pics for this page, we were lucky enough to find this one with all of us at once - of course getting ready to eat, which seems to be a common theme for our get togethers. hartman arboretum

This part of the zone is dedicated to the Hartman Arboretum. The seeds were planted seven years ago when Grant Hartman, retired director of Food Research at Bristol Myers, was trying to find a new use for his old hayfield. His family had stopped raising cattle and the 20 acres of property, including three ponds and a wooded area, was sitting dormant. Template used for design can be found at FreeCSSTemplates.
